Is it directory you seek? If so it's "where you installed steam = Steam\SteamApps\common\Medieval 2 kingdoms - or whatever you named it. All steam game are in that directory. Install in Med2 folder (where the Med2 exe is), not Med2 data folder.

It's probably that. I gave up on it a little while after I posted this. I just got finished burning out on rtw ^.^

Just thought I would add to this thread following the July 2014 MTW2 multiplayer steam patch

I have installed PI2 after the patch and got it to run on my Windows 7 computer. I had to change things because the bat file did not run from the shortcut that comes with the installer (it just opened vanilla MTW2).

    This is the easy way:

Step 1: Download and run installer. Gamefront link did not work for me so I had to download from the ModDB site to get a version that worked http://www.moddb.com/mods/paeninsula...talica-ii-v097

Step 2: During install change the path and select steam\steamapps\common\Medieval Total War II\mods\PI2 folder
(You need to add PI2 to the end. The installer will create the folder)

Step 3: rename one of your kingdoms campaigns. I renamed "americas" to "z_americas"

Step 4: rename PI2 folder to "americas" (or appropriate campaign)

Step 5: run Medieval Total War II from Steam and select the americas campaign (or whichever kingdoms campaign you over-wrote)

Step 6: Play PI2 to check it is working. Go, See and Conquer.

Step 7: you need to install playerone's CTD fix for battles with reinforcements. Post 29 of this page http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...perience/page2 .
Unzip the file and paste into this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods\americas\data\unit_models

Step 8: you would be advised to install morfeasinkos patch http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...easnikos-patch

[I have also made a copy of my Medieval2.exe file and named the new copy Kingdoms.exe which has been suggested to get other mods to work with the new patch but I dont think that was neccessary and doing that on its own didn't help].
