OOC: I don't we can have captured roll for ordinary soldiers, only commanders I think. Also could we have survival rolls?

OOC: Possibly, but Jehaine and Melara are currently trying to capture officers so if there are any among them, we'd be needing rolls. Also, i figured we'd need a roll to see how many ordinary soldiers we capture (prioritizing heavy infantry here), though this is my first battle so i don't really know how it's supposed to go.

OOC: Quick question. I can understand Gareth and Sargon since they were in the center, but Melara was in reserve with me and didn't participate in the fighting itself. Would she still get a survival roll?

OOC: Yes, it is standard procedure to give everyone a survival roll. Or was the reserve entirely uncommitted to battle?

OOC: As far as i could tell, everything was over in a single round. Our flanks broke through theirs in the first confrontation so the reserves were never used.

I normally wouldn't have interfered in dice rolls like this, but if Jehaine lost all of her officers in the very first battle she fought in then she'd pretty much be facing a motivational crisis. Two... is still bad, but it'll at least have her continue the campaign.

OOC: Can I have a roll for Cletus Yronwod as well please? (+2 survival) And I have a query, apparently I lost over 1400 in the archer phase in the centre and also lost over 1200 in the infantry clash when I only had 1500, how does that work?

Anyway, not a spy, but i have a full regiment of Outriders.

Main problem is that none of us speak the local language, so it wouldn't matter how good we are at spying. It'd be like sending a Caucasian over to spy in tribal Nigeria, so to speak. You can't help NOT standing out unless you get a local to do it for you.

Fortunately, Julukati has about... 2,581 of said locals left, i'm sure he could spare a couple

I was hoping we could get an actual character to do it, as the spying process is somewhat lengthy, but barring that we could just scout the area. All we really need are troop numbers, although plans would be nice too.

Poach, any hope of some sort of mod intervention to give us a spying character who can understand what they're hearing?

Scouting can easily be done without speaking the local language, you just have to go there and see how many they are.

My main concern would be that Jalabhar's troops would by then have returned and spread the news that Julukati has Westerosi supporters. This would make slipping Westerosi past the guards twice a lot more tricky than you are making it sound.

You don't really have to enter a camp to scout it, just get outside it behind a tree or something and get a general picture of how many they are.

That's just it, there wouldn't be a camp, they'd be inside Lotus City.
