Is there a fix for crash to desktop in S.S?

I'm in 75 turns, and it crashes to desktop when i press the turn button. Is there a fix for this? it says unspecified error. and in detail it says something like mod= hungapp error. any idea?

After a certain amount of turns (when I've progressed quite far), I get a CTD too. It happens when I use the flamethrowers as Byzantium. Exactly when they shoot. Never solved it.

for me it happens mostly when i attack the novgord faction, and it is easily fixed by instead of battling on the field, just press the automatic resolve battle., but this time the CTD is when i press the turn button, when it reaches hungary faction it crashes to desktop and i only have 1 saved file. anyone?
