You`re very laconic. What do you mean? No british AOR or no british faction?Originally Posted by Bombasticus

06) "Where did the Britons go?!"
The Britons were historically insignificant. They did little more than be conquered by the Romans. They were isolationist, though they had ties to Celtic Gaul, and the Parisii tribe, along with others, of Gaul fled to Britainnia after the Gallic revolt led by Vercingetorix failed. The Illyrians, inventors of the liburnia, and great pirates, were much more historically significant in Europe. Due to that fact, the Illyrians have been added in the place of Britons. The Britons are, in a sense, still there, but they are rebels. Lots and lots of rebels.
yup. the britons are there as rebels known as the iceni. lots and lots of rebels. like four stacks. (shudder) i hate going up there. thats why i stick with the east, like macedon. btw iceni are better as teh britons because they were the head tribe.
I usally make a beeline for britton when they only have 1 stack per city. Hack n slash and you got a nice maritime trade center in an unchallenged place.
If you want to play as the Brittons in RTR PE, download Candel`s Extended Realism Mod:

Candel's mod can be easily modified to work with 1.5. Follow his installation instructions, he tells you how to do it (it's mostly just a matter of making a few small changes in export_descr_units.txt).
The Britons were removed as a faction from RTR because historically, they played very little part in the world at this point in time. For the most part they just sat on their island and traded with mainland Gaul. The faction was replaced by the Illyrians who did play a far more important part in world politics and so on. Because of the limited number of factions in RTW, we had to be very selective of what factions could go in and which ones couldn't.
