    TATW Multiplayer Balancing Submod

    Now this first tourney will be played using 3.2, but I have found that TATW is more balanced for a single-player experience, rather than a competitive one. As such, I was thinking of making a sub-mod that would specifically work to make the multiplayer more balanced for competitive play. Here are some ideas I had:

    1) Increase the number of units that can be added before the extra cost kicks in (specifically, lots of elite units like Black Numenorians have the extra cost kick in after one unit has been added, which is kinda lame and limits a lot of the evil factions that are short on elite units). I was thinking of increasing it by 1 across the board.

    2) Nerf the Silvain/High Elves, making their units and especially their archers more expensive. Right now Silvain archer spam is totally OP, and they are very resistant to cavalry charges.

    3) Buff OoG and OotMM, making their elite units cheaper and maybe increasing the limits on them even further like in part 1. Right now they are short on elite troops to recruit, and their trolls can't carry a whole battle.

    4) Increase range on Dwarven archer units. Right now the Dwarves would be wiped out by any army with archers, especially elves. Increasing the range on their crossbowmen would help to balance this and give them the ability to survive a skirmish fight.

    5) Remove special units that cause crashes. Ents and spiders are both known to cause battle crashes, I might remove these entirely from multiplayer battles if no one knows a fix.

    6) Expand faction rosters. This would be for 3.2, and while I LOVE MOS and DAC I think they are even less balanced (see Gondor's Roster of Pain). That being said, there are some awesome units in there that could make great additions to Multiplayer tournaments.

    I am right now working on Wrath of Angmar, but I will probably start working on this after the first tourney is completed. However, I would love to hear your thoughts on it before then. Please post below!

    Awesome, a few suggestions by me
    -OOTMM should get a unique warg unit to make them worthy to be played also adding black uruks would be awesome. (i love OotMM but their vanilla roster is $#!7)
    Making elves more expensive is a good decision (i secretly hate elves)
    As you will make a multiplayer submod you could add some factions e.g. Dunland.
    Looking forward to this.

    i just had a funny idea:
    how about adding some factions of the vanilla M2 (Apacheans aztecs crusaders....) i would love to see aztecs kicking orcish asses.
    of course you don't have to do it but i was asking because i have no modding experience and i don't have time to learn it atm.
    still waiting for this and season 2 of the tournament

    Yeah, right now season 1 is wrapping up (it will probably be finished tomorrow). Then we will likely have a week long sign-up period before season 2. I don't think this will be done before Season 2 starts though, unless we want to postpone season 2 for several weeks. Mostly, however, I want to finish Wrath of Angmar first.
