A problem I can see arising is the SE, someone could just pick them and hill camp with archer spam (8 archers is still alot). which would be pretty much unbeatable

Sounds good to me! I also added a rule saying you must wait tow games before repeating an army to prevent one player from just spamming the same force again and again. Finally, I think that the player who did worse in the previous battle should choose who picks their faction first (that way they can either grab a good one, or defer so they can counter-pick).

I think we could balance that out by using grassy plain.
Maybe we could set archers to 6 max i will make a few tests against ai and see what armies can be made with 15k
One question from me is why are mumaks forbidden? Do they cause crashes or are they OP?
Because i think they are killed fairly easy and they aren't very cost effective.

An easy fix for that would to use flat, open maps.

He's using CWB rules, which were designed for Rome I. I don't see why we can't compromise a bit on the rules. Gotta be reasonable though, I mean no cheap spam just so one can get an easy win. The point is to have fun, after all.

    yea 6 archers is good.

I also meant that the units move and attack so slow it M2TW compared to other Total Wars.

Yeah, I agree it can be pretty jarring. However I kinda like the challenge as in Rome I all you had to do was micro your cavalry to win. Here macro strategy works better.

yea but in Rome when you told a unit to move they would move instead of sitting there for a while and then moving. also in Rome you could see the impact of your charges better, where units would be thrown in the air or pushed back.

I'm probably going to get my arse kicked since I don't play much M2TW multiplayer. and what unit size are we using?

Well the tournament battles will be 1v1, so I think we can play on huge without a problem. However, if someone has trouble with lag we can always reduce it. As for multiplayer, I played my first M2TW battle last night and it was just fine . Its basically like single-player with a really good AI.

Ye I will probably suck too, I have only played Med 2 online once and lost, I have played Shogun 2 MP alot which was really fun and a bit of Rome 2 (which sucks btw) but that was like a year ago.

Alright, now we're talking! This gives us an 8 man bracket, but we could add more if we want to...

I'm also West coast (Of US, I assume you meant) I don't understand what you mean about using the Americas folder though...

We all have to use the same mod directory to be able to play together. It's as simply as renaming the folder you have vanilla 3.2 installed to as americas and running it through the launcher . Just make sure you rename your real americas folder something else though, or you'll override it.
