    Default conquering the whole map

Its the first campaign I'm playing with TE, and its lots of fun. Its challenging in the start, and the difficulty stays somewhat. For now I've lost only one city to rebellion, but my empire spreads out, and as a barbarian force you can't build higher walls, or temples than more civilised cultures.
I've conquered 73 regions now, needs to add some more for victory, I wonder if its even possible to capture the whole map.
In vannilla it was possible, as I did in 70 years with Carthago, even the amazones in Russia.
Has anyone tried it in TE to conquer the whole map?

Ive never needed to go that far. As SPQR I have conqured most of Europe, North AFrica and Egypt. As Brits I have added mostly Europe and the Steppes.

Which faction are you playing? Barbarians can build stone walls, more than enough for a good defense.

Neither is this the dawn from the east, nor is a dragon flying above, nor are the gables of this hall aflame. Nay, mortal enemies approach in ready armour. Ravens are calling, wolves are howling, spear clashes and shield answers

The problem with the whole map is that by the time you have 1/3 of it, nobody stands a chance. When you have 1/2, it's not fun anymore. You have too much money, you could outspend everyone else.

That is, unless your opponent has all of the other half of the map. Then that would be awesome, a massive war of epic proportions.

But that hasn't happened to me, yet.

I'm playing as Gaul. I'm not in need for better defence. Stone walls arre fine with me. But you get an cultural disadvantage when the city you capture has large or huge walls of another culture. So its not easy to keep them happy. I'm not in favor off exterminating my own cities.

I'm in a campaign with three large factions, Carthago, Pontus and me. We together have 3/4 of the world. The 3 minor ones controle the rest of the map. And I'm at war with 4 of them. So the challenge is there.
