HTW Version 3.5 not working

I've been having the game crash every time I try to play missions, quick battles, custom battles, and campaign. The game will load up and I can get to the main menu as well as the setup menus for custom, campaign, and the missions but it crashes when I hit the start button.

Things that i have tried include reinstalling the mod, redownloading the mod, installing the mode with installers opened in this order 1-2-3-4 and 1-3-2-4. I even tried installing the old version then installing the new version. I have also restarted my computer after each install/uninstall to see if that would work.

To my knowledge I am the only one experiencing this problem and I will post what kind of pc i have if needed.

Quite weird. Have you tried using other mods or reinstalling M2TW? Did you have any similar issues whith older versions?

The older version worked fine, aside from the already known bugs, this is the only mod I have installed at the moment but I was thinking about downloading the third age mod.

Try it or some other, is a good way to see if the problem is with HTW or is something else. You may wanto to try reinstalling the vanilla game just in case, is usually the problem if all what you did fails. If not and other mods work just fine I honestly have no idea of what the problem is.

Did you uninstall the previous version first?

I uninstalled the old version as soon as the new version came out. I will try to get Third age tonight and if that doesn't work I'll reinstall the vanilla game.

I reinstalled medieval Ii total war and downloaded third age total war and installed HTW again but only thrid age works.

I had a similar issue and nothing seemed to work until a moderator on here told me about "User Account Control" or something of that nature. Let me see if I can find my old thread for you.
