Absorbing NPCs

I have heard it mentioned that you can absorb NPC factions into your own. Ho does this work? I have tried both allying and conquering them.

You must ally with them and keep good relations until you receive a message from them asking for membership.

It takes a moderate amount of turns, so be patient. My advice is to build the embasy early on and send diplomats to then rigth away. Alliances are usually hard to get late game, so it`s your best bet. If you absorb Subrosia before the "subrosia discovered" event pop up (I did it once doing as I suggested) you will have to wait until then to move troops from subrosia to the rest of the world map using the passage (like with the Twilli mirror).

Absorbing NPC faction is a process requiring your patience because some like Horon can take lots of turn to absorb and in that time you can't send any of your force to their land or bad relationship happens.
