You're just right fernavliz, officers, flagmen and possible captain or general are not considered as normal soldiers. And as you thought, the size limit is indeed 100 men. This is hardcoded and it is impossible in any way to surpass that, besides officers, flagmen and general, giving an absolute maximal size on 253 men per unit when the unit scale is huge. I've personally mistyped unit size in the file a few times, and can confirm, that this hard-coded limit, as annoying as it is, has no mercy. Failure to edit EDU according that fact results in crash without exception.

Isn´t it in EDU (export_descr_unit.txt) in the part that says something like "soldier Mounted_Ordonian_Archers, 30, 0, 1"? It confuses me the little explanation that is included in that file:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Code:

; soldier Name of the soldier model to use (from descr_models_battle.txt); followed by the number of ordinary soldiers in the unit; followed by the number of extras (pigs dogs, elephants, chariots artillery pieces etc attached to the unit); followed by the collision mass of the men. 1.0 is normal. [Only applies to infantry]

I´m not really sure, but it seems like it.

    Thanks

Mabey I should have read through the tutorial

hey frenavilz, is there anyway to add special abilities like pink_blast to ancillaries, and how do you make where generals or unit gain traits and ancillaries like in the normal MTW2, say I kill ruto and get water medallion, or release pioneers and gain some trait that makes me like by people.

I really don´t know, I´m not a modder. I just see stuff that others have done and apply to this thing when necessary. I have not see an ability attached to a ancillary, and I think it may be not possible because they are described in a animation file or the EDU. About robbing the ancillary of others I think it may be possible by scripting in campaign_script.txt . I don´t know to activate the earnings of traits; it is said that they were deactivated due to crashing the game constantly. Someone else would need to answer these questions.

    I have a question.
Does any one know how to change a factions banner?
Could you tell me how to do it step by step?
    Thanks.

I know it is not related to the game, but. What is the limit of text on a single post? because I´m going to post something big and I am really bad at summarizing.

I heard somewhere it's 10,000 characters, but that could be wrong. I'll check in a moment.

When do settlements appear to grow on the campaign map.
also how do I use the create unit cheat for a unit that has a 2 word or more name.

As to the first question, settlements in this mod never naturally grow. As to the second, you need to enclose the unit name and/or settlement in quotation marks; for example: create_unit "Hyrule Prime" "Hyrulean Knight" 1 0 0 0. You don't need to include any numbers afterward, but they're optional parameters that specify the number, experience, weapon, and armor of the unit spawned. The first number goes to a maximum of five, the second number goes to a maximum of nine, and the third and fourth numbers go to a maximum of three.

Is there a way to give AI control to your armies on the world map? I know you can do it for units in a battle, and for your settlements on the world map.

The reason I ask is because, I want to try playing a faction with every thing run by AI. This way I can figure out what the AI is getting hug up on.

I don´t know if it is useful somehow, but I read somewhere (I could be wrong) that if you make a hotseat game, you can change the faction (Although it is said that the AI of the changed faction might not work properly). It something at least.

    This link should help http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt..._Buildings-txt

Does anyone know if the Ultimate ai mod would work with HTW? I would ask on that thread but I don't believe anyone has been on it recently that could actually answer this. I read a little bit on it and was wondering if this would fix HTW's horrible AI?

which files does that mod modify? depending on this it may be totally or partially compatible with none or few changes. I don´t think that the AI is modified in this mod (or at least at noticeable levels). Do you have a link to that mod?

I suggest downloading the free version of fraps. When it is installed and running you can set the key to take screenshots. When its running all you have to do is hit the key you have assigned and it won't affect performance. Here is the link http://www.fraps.com/download.php
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"You had thought you won, but your mind failed to realize that everything that happened was my plan to begin with. I had let you win all those inconsequential battles since they never affected the outcome. The servants that fell to your blade were nothing but pawns, and now that you life is about to end by my blade you will realize how hopeless the cause you fought for was and how meaningless your life and your comrade's lives were." --mcloud
