Help getting rid of helmet variations please :)

I've been trying to get rid of all of the variations for greek units such as Hoplites so that they use just one helmet such as phrygian helmet. I tried just deleting all the other helmets on the "variantmeshdefinitions" and then putting the new file in my rome 2 data folder then using the mod manager to use it but then i go check in game and nothing changed. I am very new to this and i could definitely use some help please.

That wont work, because the game will use the vanilla ones.

What you would have to do is assign each of the units to just the one helmet u want.
