they're sarmatians i belive. since middle east and steppe were the first to give woman equal rights. quite a step backwards if you look at them now.

yea, not quite. but there have been norse and sarmartian documents/recordings of female only troops, which have been fantasied as amazons. and rtw got it wrong that there was a faction called scythia, they're actually called sarmartian, which they fixed in BI.

I was brutii and i took hyperboria and the only unit in there was a rebel general. i really wanted to fight the amazons as well......

I met and fought them last night, I got two units of Amazon chariot archers before I reached their city of Themiskyra, then a Rebel General and more archers when I assaulted their city. In both cases the battle was over so quickly I forgot to take screenies! Would have been nice to be able to hire Amazon mercenaries in the region, but there are no mercs for hire there, except maybe snowmen!
