Griffin's Roost is located on a lofty crag jutting out from the shores of Cape Wrath. The castle lies surrounded by red stone cliffs on three sides, which descend into the stormy waters of Shipbreaker Bay. The land-facing approach is a long natural ridge called the griffin's throat. The entrance to the griffin's throat is guarded on one end by a gatehouse, and by the castle's main gate and two round towers on the other end.
Regional bonuses:
Strong Defensive position: Griffin's Roost is sorrounded on three sides by the Shipbreaker Bay, and the only approach is past a fortified gatehouse and through the 'griffins's throat', a long bare ridge where the defendes can easily shower any hostiles with misiles from the two towers around the castle's main gates. +3 to siege rolls.
-The Griffin's Lancers (Three thousand Stormlander knights): Clad in steel from head to toe, with thick plate and mail. A fearsome sight in all battlefields, the thunderous charge of the massed ranks of these knights would make the earth and the enemy's hearts tremble. They have been hired by Lord Maegar Conningon, in gratitude to Lord Baratheon's support, willing to boost the Stormlands' might. They are minor landlords, second sons, scions of lordly families and hedge knights. Skill: If fighting in the Stormlands, they gain +2 to rolls, subject to ratio calculations.
-The Griffin's Claws (300 Household Knights): The most powerful and strong of the knights, the finest and most valiant in the battlefield. They form the Lord's retinue and guard in battle, a wall of steel raised to protect their Lord from any harm.

A solider bearing the banner of a vulture arrives and carries a message sent from Griffin's Roost to his home of Blackmont as a means to gain audience.
He is led into the Main Hall, where Maegar waits the Dornish sitting in the Griffin's Throne, a relic of times past, carved in wood and covered in gold.
"An envoy of Blackmont, doesn't it? Tell me, does your Lord acept to trade with us?"
"He does Lord Connington, although he asks what is to be traded in return. He also asks if you wish to discuss a business transaction of a larger magnitude. He is developing his trade network and seeks to invest in order to form friendships. He offers a considerable annual sum to help you develop your estate." The Dornish herald kept his eyes averted and knelt in submission.
"Jeel'derah is a most..." the guard took a deep breath, sweating with fear at the thought of his master "persuasive lord. He will wish to discuss terms of your arrangement with him either at the capital or at his home..." the guard got goosebumps thinking of it "Blackmont."

"I will discuss whatever he desires, I'm afraid of nothing after I've seen the horror, the nightmares that inhabited these walls, the madness and sorrow that still taint this castle. I will visit Blackmont"
