Default So, I will just start by saying sorry for asking it again ;)

So yea, like the title says, I'm sorry to ask it again. I know that there are many, many topics like this everywhere on the internet, nothing just works for me.
I'm HRE and the Crusader States are getting kicked out of Jerusalem in some turns, because they have no troops there, on Cyprus however, they got two full stacks. The AI just can't move them with a ship to jerusalem, I dont know why. I want to help them by use move_character... but it doesnt work. I have looked everywhere on this forum but I cant find anything that works for me.
    I have tried:
move_character Captain Obama(I will just call the captain, Obama, that is the first name that comes up
    move_character Captain_Obama
    move_character Captain-Obama
    move_character ''Captain-Obama''
    move_character ''Captain_Obama''
    move_character CaptainObama
    move_character ''CaptainObama''

Anything else I can try? I can only move generals with only one name, or with the great or something. I cant move captains.
Can someone please help me? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for your reply.

I have already read that page, but it doesnt work for me. 'If you need to specify the name of a city, character, etc. that is more than one word then you have to put quotes around it.'a
As far as I understand, this should work: move_character ''Hakon Vermundson'' x,y It doesnt work me for nor does move_character ''Captain Hakon'' x,y

Long distance movements, Move your mouse cursor where you want an army or agent to be moved to. Then type in the ~ consle 'show_cursorstat'. This will give the coordinates of the mouse - it should look something like '163, 82'. Then find the army or agent you want to move and type in 'move_character "name" 163 82'. For example 'show_cursorstat = 46, 37, move_character "Captain Bob" 46 37
move_character ''Captain Name'' x,y doesnt work for me.

Maybe troops cannot be moved that way, only characters?

Even if you move CS units for them, they usually eventually die off.

Ive found the best way to keep them alive (and in your pocket) is
    1.to get a good army,
    2. sail over there,
    3. declare war on the CS,
    4. Sweep through the Egyptians from west-east until you run into the CS,
    5. Sue the CS for peace (make them your vassal in exchange for all of the 5-8 Egyptian states you conquered).
    6. Now, CS is your ally/vassal with a strong territory.
    7. Keep a dilpomat always near the CS to grease them with a 10k gold gift whenever their loyalty weakens.

You have to try everything and check everything thoroughly before you do this command, its quite tricky.

Try everything? Do you mean more combinations of '' and _ ?
Like I said in my first post, I have tried a lot of combinations, do you know some more?

Can you take a screenshot with the name in question and post it here? You can take a screenshot with prt scrn button and it will be saved in a tga format which you need to convert to png or similar and then upload.

Ok try it these, if it dosent work, I don't know:

    move_character ''Captain Irinjibal'' 340,103

    move_character ''Captain Irinjibal'' 340 103

    move_character ''Captain_irinjibal'' 340,103

    move_character ''Captain_irinjibal'' 340 103

Also thy the same combos just without quotes too.

    Try this as well:

    move_character Irinjibal 340,103

    move_character ''Irinjibal'' 340,103

    move_character irinjibal 340,103

    move_character ''irinjibal'' 340,103

Okay, I tried everything and now it finnaly worked!
What I did was move_character ''Captain Irinjibal'' 340,103. This didnt work.
    I should have written:move_character "Captain Irinjibal" 340,103
So I suppose it was my own stupid fault by writing this '' in stead of " . Shift + '' = "

Thank you very much for you help everyone!

Aha, I see, I had the thought that that might have been the case, I usually write quotation marks by double pressing that key instead of shift + that key.
