Who going to ANIMATION SCHOOL here

just like the title say "Who goes to animation school or even thinking about it". Also the MTW2 is so awsome even though is not out untill 11/14/06 but some of the video and talk about this game is pretty cool i can't wait till it coming out, and does anyone here know what kind of mod is going to be made for this game?

I started this fall...still working with basics.Just started working with poly modelling(still having problems getting it all right).Man its harder than I thought,especially when you dont have your own cpu to practice at home.

Why you ask?

Check mod section...you will find people who gather to discuss possible mods they will work on.As how moddable game will be...wait and see when its out.

well what school are attending and what is you major, hey what do you mean by this "especially when you dont have your own cpu to practice at home." Do you mean by not having the software like they use at the school and what do they use anyway is it Maya or some other different software.

Its Noroff Institutte in Norway.I am taking first year of 3d design and animation.We use mostly 3dsmax 7 and sometimes adobe photoshop.But during this week it will be upgraded to 8.
Yup no cpu and no software,I started at school for about month ago.I have ordered new cpu, but have been waiting for parts for 3weeks.My old cpu got blue screen of death...so I use my girlfriends cpu to surf, since its only good for that lol.(even slow than sometimes).

Why do you ask?Are you going to animation school of some sorts or were you interested apply?

I'm doing media at my school this year..not sure if i'll continue. It's basic animation by drawing and 3d modles, currently making a movie with action man in it!!

why are you not sure if you want to continue is it hard or somethin. What school are you attending?

Im not sure if i'll continue because im not sure if its the right thing for me, can't really see myself as an animator one day. Im just going to a normal australian high school

exactly I'm thinking of attending an animation school but don't know if I could get through, since I have no experience of drawing at all. Well do you need to know about drawing in order to take animation school I know that animation is base on drawing too. As you can see I want to make a 3d model or character for a game studio. I know there is no requirement to take animation program, but in order to do animation you have to first understan the basic of drawing. Well what do you think.

In animation school you will have pretty much drawing...having any acuall drawing expreince has no importance, as many start fresh without any expreience.That is why you go to school, to learn, right

You will start learning basics in school, and if you practice you can be very good in short time...I could recommend you a book : "To draw is to see" i think its called.It helps you immensly...

Remeber, practice makes master
