    Bio:
Pearse Caron is the Lord of the Marches, the ruler of the Dornish Marches that has served as a battleground for thousands of years between the Stormlands, the Reach and Dorne. He has therefore been raised to always be ready for any assault from the south and the west, honing his skills as a knight and a commander ever since he could swing a sword. His love lies not only in battle, but also in songs. Pearse has been acknowledged as an accomplished singer and harp-player, which is why his personal sigil is a silver harp. He is staunchly loyal towards his liege lord Baratheon and loathes the Dornish, especially the Fowlers who border his lands. A raven arrives with the answer:

"My Lord Caron, we will love your thick armours, for the Westerlands' is home to the best smiths in the whole Realm. If the Realm falls into turmoil again, it would be most useful, indeed. We thank you for your kindness and good-will. Our merchants and agent will soon depart for Nightsong, to deliver our finest perfumes.

In the Light of the Seven.

Lord Matarys Targaryen of Stonedance, the Defeated"
ooc: Do you know the castle you chose is in Spain? Is the Alcázar de Segovia, a fortress in the city of Segovia, in Castille. King Philip II was the main responsible for his actual appearance, even if the main buildings are from Medieval times, XIV and XV centuries.

A Raven returns from Horn Hill

    My Lord Caron

I would be happy to begin trade between our houses. The armors from the Stormlands are reputed far and wide for their quality. I am certain that the fruits of the Reach will satisfy you in their quality as well.
I am pleased to see that your house is doing well since it was returned to you.

OOC: I'm assuming trade with Castamere is ceased due to its... unfortunate fate?

    Lord Caron,

You may have notice some increased activity of Reach troops along the march borders in the near future. I beg that you are not troubled by this turn of events. We merely search for the bandits that recently invaded our lands. In addition to this notice, I would request permission to station 250 scouts in your lands, north of the Prince's Pass, to monitor the activity of the Dornishmen. The bandit's hit and run tactics were similar to those of the men of the mountains. I appreciate that you may be concerned due to my own recent attack on your castle, but this will be a simple scout force, and not even scouting your lands but those of a neighbor. You may send men of your own to monitor them if you wish.

A retinue from Greenstone arrives to visit Lord Caron.
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Robert would gallop up to the gates of Winterfell alone, break them with his warhammer, and ride through the rubble to slay Roose Bolton with his left hand and the Bastard with his right. I am not Robert. But we will march, and we will free Winterfell … or die in the attempt."

The Estermonts are led into the courtyard where life is going on as usual. Loud clangs can be heard from the forge, crossbowmen guard the walls, children are playing with sticks and knights and squires are training swordplay in the training grounds. Meribald Drakesgrave, the steward of Nightsong, leads the visitors into the holdfast. Lord Pearse Caron awaited them in the main hall, together with his master-at-arms Ser Lancel Peasebury. His hair was of copper and he wore a white linen doublet under a black leather jerkin with a large white nightingale embroidered at the heart, goldenrod breeches and black leather boots. He rose from his seat when they entered.

"Welcome to Nightsong. It is always a pleasure to meet the members of the Stormland Houses. Did you have a safe journey? There have been rumors of bandits in the area, seeking hiding places from the huntsmen of the Reach."

OOC: I think it would be ok.

    IC:

When the portcullis opens to the Reachmen, the guards look with suspicious eyes on the knights, a few crossbowmen loading their weapons and the knights taking a break from their training. No men had been allowed to cross the border between the two regions, so what these strangers were doing here could mean trouble. The captain of the guards, Ser Renly, shouts at them and the soldiers quickly return to their duties. Lord Steffon is led into the main hall where Lord Pearse Caron his conversing with men carrying the turtle of House Estermont. He looked a little surprised for a moment, but quickly smiles and waves him forward.

"Lord Fossoway, we weren't anticipating your sudden arrival. What brings the Reach to my home? Hopefully with not the same intent as last time, no?"

The memory of the dead men lingered still in the young lord's mind. He had been with Lord Meldred in King's Landing when the news of the Reach's assault on Nightsong had come with a raven. Dark wings, dark words indeed... his family had luckily not been harmed, but there was still suspicion among of the marchers towards the Reach. He was trading with the Tarlys, who had been among the men that had conquered his home, but that was one thing. Letting Reachmen into the Marches was entirely another.

Lord Fossoway notices the animadversion that could be breathe in the courtyard. The crossbowmen aiming their bolts and the fearsome knights. Steffon wasn't worried at all, his porpouse here was to gain a lordly bride, and he doesn't mind the bravado of the march men, even more, he is deligthed by the Stormlanders' being afraid of the Reach Lords. When he enters he notices the Estermonts, who could very well be claiming the hand of the Lord's sisters.
Lord Fossoway bows before the Lord of the Marches:

    "Lord Pearse Caron, Estermonts"

"Lord Caron, in these troubled times for the Reach, were raids are a common sight and our villages are burnt, furtiveness is a wise choice. But do not worry, my Lord, we came here in the best terms posible, in those of friendship. All here are now under the King's Peace, and such, joined under the Crown, those times when Tarly attacked your lordship are past, my Lord Caron"

His broad chest is covered by plate and mail, wearing a tabard with the red apple. Muscular and tall, with dark hair, Steffon could be considered atractive, with an arrogant smile.

"I come here to strengthen the ties between the Stormlands and the Reach in these times of need, and for the future to come, with blood and marriage. I've heard that your lordship has a sister, still unmarried"

The Estermont retinue was composed of 30 guards, 5 servants and 3 members of the House itself aswell as two times as many horses. The Estermonts were Ser Barristan, grave and wise beyond his years with his dark hair already going bald and his brother the recently knighted Ser Stannis, proud and eager as only a young man can be and with them also came Lady Cassandra, Lord Andrew's oldest sister, wise and fair even if a little defiant. All of them made the proper courtesies and Ser Barristan who seemed to be the designed leader spoke. "Your Lordship, it is a pleasure and an honour to meet you. Our journey was safe althought we faced a storm near Cape Wrath, we come here to your seat with words of friendship." Barristan cleared his throat and spoke as if he was reading a letter "During the recent years Houses in the Stormlands have grown further away, we come here today with an offer of friendship from my cousin and Lord, Andrew, in which he proposes that we unite our house in marriage so as to further our friendship."
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Only one of you could ever get her hand, I fear, so who would be the most worthy of your houses? Ser Barristan, who from House Estermont is it that would marry my sister? Lord Fossoway, who from your house seek Lady yana's hand?"

Ser Barristan face remained stoic but his brother Stannis looked deeply annoyed by the Reachmen, Barristan began speaking again as if counting cattle "Lord Andrew himself would like the hand of the lady Tyana. However there are some fair ladies in House Estermont avaible for marriage aswell." One of them clearly enough involved the lady at his side, before dull Barristan could continue his younger brother interrupted him. "Indeed my Lord, he is so smitten by what he heard of her that would have come here himself to beg her hand." He looked maliciously to the Reachman "However he is currently away on campaing, fighting most gallantly I am told."
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Lord Steffon stares with disdain the Estermonts, and then looks Lord Caron.

"Fighting barbarians in the Summer Islands, Ser. I would have joined if my Home's security wasn't a priority, with those bandits looting our countryside we cannot lose our time in such a foolish enterprise, that doesn't concern the Realms at all"

"My Lord Caron, it is time to estrengthen the ties between the Stormlands and the Reach, I offer you the support and friendship of Cider Hall. I am sure that you have many ties of blood with the Stormlords, but fewer with us, the Reach's, even if for centuries we have fought together against the southerners, the Dornish. And your sister will surely appreciate to marry into the noble Fossoway, and be the Lady of Cider Hall, which is fed and blessed by the Mander, a most fruitful and blissful land"

"My friendship, and the Reach's, is my offer, my Lord Caron. Put aside past grievances, and let join ourselves with blood"

Steffon offers his hand to Lord Caron, while smiling.

Stannis gave a mocking grin and spoke to Lord Fossoway "Indeed Lord Andrew is fighting in the Summer Isles but that is because we have no problems at home much unlike the Reach which I hear has been half burnt to the ground by a man who calls himself the Goat Lord, he must be really fearsome for the Reach to marshall their forces to battle bandits." Barristan grabbed his brother's arm and signaled him to stop, Stannis however shook his elder's brother grip off and continue speaking this time to Lord Caron "Bear in mind my Lord the good that came when the Reach last came to the marches and wonder what an alliance with them is worth, let us all not forget the heroes who fought and died at Nightsong fending off this scum from our homes."
"We all know whatmy brother would do. Pearse nods while listening to both of them. Although he doesn't think they would dare to start a fight in his home, he silently sends Ser Lancel to fetch twenty of his knights to wait outside the hall and enter if they heard any disturbance. He stepped before Ser Stannis and Lord Steffon.

"My lords, I think that we can leave martial discussions for another time, don't you agree? You have come for my sister's hand, so let's be friends for now."

    He turns to Lord Fossoway.

"Lord Fossoway, I am well aware that the Stormlands and the Reach have fought the Dornish scum many times in the past, but the memory of my men slaughtered and my home burned is fresher. The Reach attacked Nightsong while I was away with Lord Meldred Baratheon, welcoming King Daemon to his rightful place on the throne. I don't blame you for it, Lord Fossoway, but it is a stain upon the honor of my house."

    Pearse looks at Ser Stannis.

"The Goat Lord you're talking about is someone not to underestimate. I have gotten many reports about his gruesome raids throughout the Reach which has continued for years. There are even rumors that he assaulted the High Septon himself between Highgarden and Oldtown. Only a genius madman would dare something like that and still not be caught. Believe me when I say that this is no mere bandit, so I think that the actions of the Reachmen are justified here."

    A raven arrives in Nightsong

    Lord Caron,

House Tarly wishes to make amends for crimes against you in the past. You have provided nothing but understanding and aid in our fight against the goat lord. The Stormlands and Reach are neighbors, yet have been further separated than Westeros and the Summer Isles of late. I propose to a marriage between my daughter and whichever man of your household you choose. This bond, in addition to our trade agreement, will hopefully go many leagues toward the reparation of the friendship between our two houses and lands. A handsome dowry will accompany my daughter.

In the light of the Seven,
Lord Davos Tarly, Lord of Horn Hill

Lord Stannis respectfully lowered his tone, he was reckless but not to the point of compromising the meeting. "Still it seems that a full mobilization is a bit.... overreacting." It was clear Stannis had meant to say something more insulting but he kept quiet. Barristan cleared his throat and once more assumed the head of the negotiations. "My lord, some folk says it is better to have a friendly neighbor than a faraway friend. Seeing as distance can sometimes be problematic when giving out support."

"Refrain your tongue, Ser. You are talking about our honour... and that could be a grievous offense, your insinuation is not wise, indeed, as we hold high our honour"

    But Steffon smiles:

"And if we talk about friendly neighbours... My Lord, Greenstone is more than two months away from Nightsong for a marching host, not including the difficult travel above mountains. However Cider Hall is less than a week by foot, five or four days by horse from this seat. Lord Caron, if you wish a friend in times of need you should not choose Estermonts, who actually, are the faraway friend"

"Time was not my only meaning Lord Fossoway, distance can also be measured by different regions, as both vassals to Lord Baratheon and men of the Stormlands the chances of help coming from Estermont is much greater seeing as the Reach will have its own wars to fight." Barristan's face turned grim "Perhaps even against us as in all the last wars."
