Changing equipment on your units.
hey all I created a unit that works in game, and in campaign. I was also tinkering around with variant mesh files, adding chest shields and so forth, and I noticed that some equipment was invisible on the battle field. Now everytime I made a change, just one change, I went in game to see what It did. and I noticed it only happened with certain equipment. My question is two fold, my first question is are certain units not allowed to wear certain gear? or am I missing maybe an add on or extraction tool? At anyrate I'm having a blast figuring this stuff out. Are you limited to the <SLOT> you can add before you have to do more coding to add more layers to the unit? I noticed some units had a couple of layers that were somehow separated by </VARIANT_MESH> </SLOT> </VARIANT_MESH>. I use gcode for cnc machining so I'm familiar to a small degree on how this coding works. Any help would be very appreciated thank you.

They aren't appearing because the animation files the unit uses has to specify the "bone model" with an "on" setting. Further, the animation files need to use the bone model if it is to do anything other than appear in the default pin position.
