Default Another R2TW mod doing named & numbered legions

This is another mod that is trying to do N&N legions for Rome II. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...tic-Roman-Army The modder actually cites RS2's twenty-eight legions as the model of what he's trying to achieve. This is in addition to http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...l+roman+reform which seems to have gone dormant since before the holidays, something about having been broken by patch #8.
"With a population of around a million, Rome (in Claudius' time) was a vast city even by modern standards. It is worth pointing out that during the early Renaissance the population of Rome was no more than fifteen thousand-- living amid the ruins of a civilization that dwarfed their own. It was not until the nineteenth century that the population of Rome returned to the levels it had enjoyed under the Caesars. That is eloquent proof of the fact that human history is not a tale of steady progress towards greater knowledge and achievement." Simon Scarrow

"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery." - Charles Caleb Colton
“The hardest thing in the world is to assume the mood of a warrior. It is of no use to be sad and complain and feel justified in doing so, believing that someone is always doing something to us. Nobody is doing anything to anybody, much less to a warrior.” ― Don Juan
"It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag." -- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I was one of the suckers who pre-ordered RII. However, after it started getting hate mail at the bulk rate, I decided to finish my RS2 campaign instead and haven't played yet actually; waiting for the dust to settle. I've been watching the forums to see when the tide of criticism turns more toward the kinds of topics we see here about content, tactics and strategy questions and less discontent with the product. It's hard to remember back then but as I recall the tide didn't turn for the original RTW until after patch 5. RII is up to patch 8 and it hasn't turned yet. Partially I think because expectations were so high based upon overhype by CA.

Just as a point of reference, how long was it between the release of RTW and the patch 1.5?

SD_Man, I don't know, but I want to say on the order of four or five months. Tungri_Centurio, if you try the N&N mod, let me know what you think if you would.

i was one of the suckers to to pre-order,thanks to CA/sega i lost all believe in developers, even bought a new gamerig for it
never gonna believe the magazine or devs anymore.lucky there is this great forum with its great modders that made the serie for what it is.
about the expectations, they shoud have lisent what the old fans wanted and not made a game that looks like the COD for strategy games.
    they knew expectations where high.

the siege AI is still messed up but with some mods installed it is alot beter than when it came out.i play with DeI overhaul modhttp://www.twcenter.net/forums/forum...t-Impera-(DeI)
and bullgod's unit icon modhttp://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...d-21-Dec-2013),maybe ill try the named/nubered legion mod if its compatible with DeI

Looks like Real Roman Reforms is coming back to life as well.
