Cheekplates from one helmet to another.Possible?

As the title says.Is it possible to take the cheekplates from one helmet and put them in a helmet that doesn't have cheekplates? For example could I choose the cheekplates from whatever helmet I like and attach them to a pylos helmet? Is it possible with gimp and the texture files or do I have to edit the 3d model of the helmet to add cheekplates? If it's possible to do it without messing the model then how do I do it?

It is possible, but makes for ugly pack files sometimes. You have to make new models of each helmet you are using and then new textures of just the parts you want. Then kit bash them in pfm.
