Default Any way to make M2TW run on more than one processor?

I had a nasty crash when playing Stainless Steel 6.4 and my computer shut down and I had trouble starting it afterwards. After checking whats going on I realize this games runs on only one processor, I kinda forget how old it is from time to time.

So, any mod or something that makes it run on more than one processor? It feels a bit frustrating to have the hardware but unoptimized software for it.

If this is the wrong forum I'm sorry, pls redirect me to the proper one!

Just for the computer's sake, I wouldn't download just because it "enhances" the experience of the game. Just saying kudos!

    I did not understand that.

This, sadly, I did understand however. So I'm suspecting that people looked closer at this issue but it's fairly untrivial to fix, correct?

This is correct. The game was written to use only one core and not even optimized to use it well for even what hardware was available in 2005 much less any future proof.
