Partitioning XP
So, I have two hard drives - an 80 gig and a 250 gig. My OS rests on a 10 gig partition on the 250 gig, but as of now it only has about 9% free space. Rather than screwing up the entire drive to resize the partitions, I was thinking of just replacing my 80 gig with a new 250 gig SATA, and then just setting up a bigger partition for XP, and using the original 10 gig partition for my page file.
Now, if I uninstall XP on one hard drive, how will my settings/documents/etc be affected? I know I won't lose My Documents data since that's on another partition, but is there any way to save my other settings? Also, how would installed programs be affected (since I have these installed on another partition)?

Re: Partitioning XP
Why not just copy your 10 Gb partition over to your new hard disk and then expand it using GPARTED LiveCD?
