Do i have to build anything else or is ist a bug?
PS: the marius reform apeared on an information but the imperial doesnt

so let me get this straight,to get segmentarta legions /you need reforms>army ration>in town or city then circus Maximus in rome?
I have late petorians in rome but cant build late legions anywhere else!
is there a tec tree for building legions because there seems to be no defined order how to achive this!
A tec tree for entire mod would be fantastic because you would know what you need to work towards
Apart from that a fantastic mod best ive played !!
so anyone out there that know's the correct order (that works ) to build legions please tell
big thanks to all who can help
And make sure not to make the settlement you wish to recruit legions from a economic region. you need to build the army rations station, weapons import, and grant citizenship to the people in said settlement and you should be good to go.

thanks Evalation,that sounds promising,caus all i read was (reforms>army rations>curia hostillia!
ps where did you get your info from?
thanks if this works
From this
I pretty much figured it out while on the move. First settlement I was able to recruit Segmentata (the only legions I use now) was in Genoa I built the army ration building(required for named/numbered legions), weapons/metal import, fortified region, and citizenship. that should unlock the building for imperial fortress's
Edit: NOTE it doesnt have to be in the exact order as I listed, those are the buildings required.

You're holding down that empire with only segmentata legions?
How many is that?
"I should like to see...the last king strangled with the guts of the last priest"
I use only the segmentata because I wanted a challenge in the late game, Using only them gives me a feeling of being overstreched and I have to be careful where I send a legion because if its gone to long....Chaos insues.
Oh and ive fortified every border/river crossing with forts full of auxilaries/local mercs. They make up most of my military power in the world atm.
On the post your empire thread as soon as their retrained ill post all my active legions. check that later today or tommorow.

Ah, mercs and Aux, I see.
Nice one.
Did you build hamata earlier and then disband them?
"I should like to see...the last king strangled with the guts of the last priest"
Yes, I used the Hamata legions up untill the second rebellion. Once the rebels were gone I began training the imperial legions and one by one disbanding the republicans where I had them stationed.

You are a braver man than me, I'd want all 28 legions and aux to hold that lot down.
Only got N Africa, Spain, Italy (obv) and currently invading Greece, have the western coast.
10 legions, all hamata, not gonna build segmantata yet.
Merry xmas and a happy new year to you.

28? IIRC weren't there actually 40 before Augustus trimmed down this force down to 20?
Fantastic thanks alot, but is there a tech tree for this mod,or is it a case of reading every building spec as you play?
Possibly up to around 60 legions in existence (although ~40 of them fought at Philippi and would have been severely knocked about), for Gaul, Spain, Africa, Cyrenaica, Egypt et al were all garrisoned. Octavian/Augustus then reduced them down to 27, which became 28 a couple of years later with the incorporation of XXII Deiotariana from the annexation of Galatia. At the same time (we assume) he raised the original 9 cohorts of Praetorians; 3 stationed in Roma and 6 in other cities in Italy.
You 'could' have all 60 as Generic legions, which would not be inappropriate. There is the assumption that the larger First Cohorts is a post-Augustan inception as well, which is not unreasonable.

so with all those buildings built im still just getting early legions,is it just a case of waiting for segmentata legions to evolve?
No. After you get the reforms they should just come with the Imperial barracks (Curia Hostilia), You made sure not to build anything that involves making the city a economic city? you diddnt build the preciuos metals import? the economic region?
If you diddnt build anything to make it a economic region, and havent waited a turn after the barracks was built.. then I believe it may be a script problem, you may want to upload your save and have someone take a look at it. Just post it on here and I, or someone else will take a look through it to see if we see a problem.

In v2.6 the 'Late Imperial Legions' and the 'Late Auxilia' become available (provided you have achieved the 'Augustan Reforms' by building the Circus Maximus in Roma) wherever you have a Roman Fortress (Auxilia will be available anywhere you have an Oppidum Lvl3 indeed).
Note: You have to be in the right AOR for the legion (see old/updated list) and not all the Later Legions are in segmentata.
The Augustan Reforms are a scripted action based upon the building of the Circus Maximus - and you must run the script each and every time you load the game (starting from the Launcher!). An Augustan Reforms building appears in every Roman settlement (they may not all show if over 24 already)

Ive noticed the new reforms Icon, its a guy in segmentata armour and it says Imperial Reforms. Also Tedric is right about there being Imperial legions still in Hamata, i recruited 2 of them from greece, the Apollonaris, and the V Macedonica. The other two came from the west, the britannica and the Gemina Martia Victrix.
