Anyone know if we'll be getting detailed, actual figures/numbers for things like overall military power, population rankings, square km of territory?
I hope it's not just more vague graphs like in RTW.

What's wrong with graphs?
I just think it's easier and more practical/informative to get your hands on some actual figures as well. I find graphs too vague and abstract. They only give you more abstract notions and not so much concrete figures that you can really write down and compare so easily.Originally Posted by Kanfoosh

Well, i saw a screenshot from the BETA version which shows the End of Turn Report. At the bottom is your faction rank in various categories. I know this isnt graphs.. but thats the most we've seen so far. Doesn't seem like CA did any work on this though.. I might be wrong, cos we havent seen any of those screens yet.
Heres the End of Turn screen: http://www.totalwar.org.pl/gallery/end_turn.JPG
Square Km is good, but the rest like military power, production..etc are in that screenshot selenius4tsd posted.
In RTW, did you get the "Hugest Factions" depending on how many provinces you had or how huge it looked in map (even if only 3 provinces) i never really noticed can someone please tell me, if its province wise and not size wise then M2TW should improve this, having 10 provinces which are for example italy and some more maybe, compared to controling the mid-east and n.africa (which in M2TW has very few provinces compared to europe) and saying that italy's controler is the biggest faction, while the bigger part with fewer provinces would be one of the smallest. Hope its not like that.
I think that end of turn report, with the percentages, is even more vague than the graphs, to be honest.
And why is the ground in that screenshot icky green?

It looks like the comp its being played on cannot display the campaign map properly.

I think that the stats would be easy to obtain, but I wonder if that would make the micromanagement a little too much. Gathering those stats take time and processing the data may make hitting the end turn button, a toilet (loo) break.

I hoped for that too. But a detailed graph like in tropico is not going to happen.
And thats probably ok since its a total war game and we have other things to take care of.
As we see on that sreen there are some more info, but its just gonna be some more than in rome.
How would a medieval ruler possibly know the power of his military force relatively to that of other nations with such precision?

Good point. They mostly didn't even exactly know how big the army was they were leading into ballte.Originally Posted by drak10687
Still, its a computer game and I would prefer some more info to stupid historical accuracy.
EDIT: Btw. Anybody ever notice that the Historical Battle of Hastings was before the M2TW time frame?

I would have thought just displaying figures would be quicker and easier for the PC than drawing graphs. It would be very useful and informative to have actual figures. I'm thinking more of the factions ranking scrolls with all the different measures such as population, production, territory, military etc. rather than the end of turn report which is figures anyway, isn't it?
