Btw, talking of cold weather, I think many of you here are familiar with the game Skyrim.
I don't think I can recall any other game with more stunning cold/winter sceneries than Skyrim has (the modders there also use sweetfx afaik).
Check out this vid, for example, and look at the shots starting at 1:15:

Now, i don't know anything about modding Rome 2's lighting and environment, and i understand much of this is hardcoded, but if a R2 winter battle would look just a little like this, in its lighting, colors, dynamism of snowflakes etc., it would be breathtaking IMO.
Is this mod compatible with a seasons effects mod( livestock, happiness, etc.......) ?
is the mod working correctly?

Yes it is working.. The clouds give it away

@doktor1 i like the csc preset, but i would add (for my personal preference) tiny bit of sephia (coz its too cold in colors for my taste - too much blue) and that black outline around soldiers (to get some cartonish - more visibility when zoomed out, but not that much like in preset before CSC) ...you say its a gausian blur, but i cant get it to work (probably raising wrong things). I see you added DPX from prev setup, so.... the perfect measure for me would be something in between of those 2 of your last settings. First one was deeper and look better on campaign map, 2nd looks better in battles. Would appreciate if you can make something like that.
Currently disabled aztec env coz its causing some weird artefacts for me, and i am using NO HDR mod. I notice huge fps lag when zoom in. Didnt have probs with it before, its eaither last 8.1 patch that went out of beta or some heavy thing in sweet fx.![]()
Sephia =..... Not in my preset.. Disaster! I want green grass!! With sephia is yellow!!
Gaussaian blur removed in new version...
@Doktor Sure, i understand ...but can you change (make new sweetFX settings.txt) your CSC preset just to add this gaussian around units - not too much just slightly, so they dont blend to background too much, beause it would take me 2 days to figure out on my own, and i am sure its 3 mins for you. ...for me pls.PM or post. I ll send you 2 naked girls asap-

Is it me, or is there too much blue and some pics looks very 'cartoonish'? Tho in any case, fantastic work aztec, also what news on clouds movement? I mean, does they all move, or is it impossible to acomplish?
I think for the area that it's covering it will work well giving that cold feeling. I do tend to like my skies to be lighter blue but that can be adjusted in Gem as you see from my screens below.
@doktor1
Working off of your test settings I finally honed in the saturation and texture brightness a little more to my taste. I use a little GaussStrength aswell and as mentioned above I gave the skies a little lighter blue and I feel it looks a little more natural. These are from a campaign battle as Rome.

It also brightened my campaign map back up some.

@Doktor Nevermind, think i got what i wanted. One thing is nice looking screenies, but when considering gameplay ... (with NO HDR)
Easier to spot units ,,,with gauss enabled (1), but minimizing it as much as possible, as its causing rough edges around weapons when towards light.. You see, what i am aiming for?
This where scene is screaming for aztec env ... when hdr start to work as it should. Too dark to see units with HDR OFF
they are not cartoonish, they are cold ! saturated bule and green
yes they all move![]()
the link to download Aztec's Gem settings ins't working....
Is it just me or does the skies look too dark? Even though the sun is relatively high up it looks like it's right after sunset.
Can someone PM me how to add screenshots on this site i cant get it too work.
