My responce was lightning fast because i've been on edge since i was told there was a serious bug in the final release which freaked me out what with it being released over 5 forums lol.

I don't have that problem, it may be to do with your RTW/BI setup. Are you running several mods at once?

Hi guys, new here. I just downloaded TTW and i installed it but the message "please select an item from the list..." pops up when i click campaign. I know that some people already posted about this but my problem is that I downloaded 1.6 then ran it, but at the end it said something like "this patch will only upgrade 1.3 to 1.5, you can download patch 1.3 at www.totalwar.net" and when I looked at the BI it said 1.4 and when I looked at the RTW it said 1.5. Now I'm SURE that I downloaded 1.6, but I'll download it again from a different source to double check, anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

Actually I think I figured it out. I bought BI and borrowed RTW from my friend to install it on and when I returned it I got a no cd fixed .exe and been using it ever since, but now I just realized that I need the original 1.5 .exe to patch to 1.6. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the original 1.5 RTW .exe? I don't wanna risk limewire and I really don't want to ask my friend for the game again for the 18th time.

When i install RTW, then BI, then TTW. When i start up the game it loads the movie and i skip it, then it goes to the load screen then it freezes and exits out. I do not know what is going wrong because i followed all of your directions.

Apologies if this has been pointed out already for version 4.5...

With some cities there is a bug resulting in a CTD.

The bug is quite simple, its connected to Docks/Shipyards. I've experienced it on other mods in the past so I can recognise it quite easily.

The CTD happens when you try to end your turn, the cause is the construction of a dock, or an upgrade from the dock to something superior. Possibly a graphics problem, not certain on this bit. Best way to get around is by not building that type of shipyard at that specific city

As it only effects certain cities, not the whole bunch. Thus far I've found three cities positioned in Greece that are unable to build a certain type of Dock.

Hello, i installed the mod and custom battle works great but then when i click campaign it loads like 5% off the way, then it crashes and it says i am missing something.

Campaign map works fine... but whenever I have a battle, I crash to desktop. The loading meter for the battle almost completes and then *poof*. Has happened as Dorians vs. Rebels and also as Argos vs. Athens. I'm using JSGME as a mod switcher.

i don't know if this is a bug, but when i try to load the game, it says something like: "error! the file "export_unit tower.cas does not exist" or something like that. i have played TTW as long as the day it came out, but never had this game before. i downloaded the gold edition, because i don't think i have that hotfix... someone know's what it is? it is freking annoying, wanna play TTW Gold!!!
i might thought it was something wrong with the file i downloaded....

edit: managed to play it, but i have a question for you guys...
when i was gonna check out the new Lydia faction, it appered that the Lydia faction also could train like Myrmidones, Appolonians, those heavy axemen from Crete, Herakles spearmen of Sparta... this is just something that i got right? coz when i started playing as Lydia, none of those appered when i checked the barracks.. hope someone answers me.. i'm a little confused right now...

Yes, you see those units are hidden resources. In other words if you are the lydians and conquer the phthians you will be able to recruit myrmidons at the phthian capital (if the right barracks has been built). Likewise if you conquer troy you will be able to recruit apollonian infantry at the trojan capital, the same goes for each of the other elite units you see in the custom battle manu - similar to the custom battles menu in RTR. WE implemented this so that you can coquer greece and make a greek allied army from each of the greek nation's capitals and then invade troy - if you so wish.

Yes, i have removed all of the first version fixes. Fix version 2 is that exe file.

When I start as troy I start losing LOADS of money, even with taxes on full. I tried to stop it, but even building roads, full stuff and disbanding part of my army failed. Considering troy is meant to be rich I gave my self some money.

(And with one stack of Trojians sailed over to grease, and I now have 2 provinces on the mainland, it's fun as the hole culture thing realy causies revolt. I'm steady now, but if a single greaak caracter enters my lands, a revolt happens Awesome gameplay well done)

The problem with the money is caused by the generals and their bodyguards being incredibly expensive to maintain. Use them in battle! The heros will win campaigns for you or else die which isn't so bad as it is one less unit to maintain. . It is all a part of our effort of trying to focus gameplay on the heros.
