Default Name the times you got annihilated

ptolemics pulled an alexander against my Roman crusade. A full stack with a few remaining romans backed by a few pezoi, hoplites, and lots of bedouins, arabs and eastern infantry. they had a good hill advantage but only 2 units and 6 unit reinforcement. i use missiles to annihilate the 2 units but the other 6 came at me uphill. omg... 3 units of hyspasty spears.. 2 full units of mamichoi, backed by the faction leaders bodygaurds. their hill advantage caught my pezoi barely formed and hyspasty crushed them. then I unloaded ALL of my arabs and eastern fodder on them but the eleite hyspaty held with a godd hight advantage. my beldouins attempted to flank but the general kept them busy and my romans were pinned by the mamichoi phanlax. I sent my reserve hoplites up to help the arabs and easterners but they were already being crushed and routing. the hyspasty unleashed a point blank downhill javelin volley and charged my hoplites. combined with seeing all the friendlies routing they did to. by then my romans were worn out and the gerneral suddenly flanked them. The beldouins unleashed some arrows into their behind but were too late. The romans ran.. I retreated my beldouins..

    3565 against 803 and I lost...

So post your worst defeats against AI ever here!

In my Imperator II campaign I had conquered Spain, coastal North Africa (leaving the rest to the Numidians who I kept happy with gifts), all the western islands (Sardinia, Corsica, Balearic islands, Malta and Sicily), Italy and Gaul, and was busy with a campaign in Greece. Given I had more money than God at this point, I sent an expeditionary force (3 full stacks) east to Asia Minor, so I could flank the Greeks (who had amazingly taken over the Greek region). After landing just northeast of Rhodes, i quickly went to work capturing the eastern settlements Greece held in the region. The Greeks were unprepared and most of their army was in the west fighting me, so I took 4 settlements in a year. But then, Pontus, who had become the dominant force of central and eastern Asia Minor, decided that I gave them an excellent opportunity for expansion, and so they attacked my force and newly conquered settlements.

The first battle had my force of about 2,000 men pitted against 1200 of theirs. I won with ease, taking only light casualties. Out of nowhere on the next turn, 2 full stacks of Pontus surrounded the army. I had 1700 or so men, they had just under 3,600. I was flanked on the battlefield and while I killed over 1000 of their men, my army was destroyed. The next battle saw a force of 5 full stacks versus my 2 stacks. I knew my campaign in Asia was over, but I wanted to at least make them hurt for it. I set myself up in an excellent position, hoping to at least hold off and kill half of them. But, by some stroke of misfortune, my general (who was a god among men) was killed by an errant scorpion bolt from my own troops. His body on fire hurled over the first rank of the army, and landed in front of them, a smoldering body. Needless to say, my army did not hold out for very long, and it was annihilated; less than 100 men survived while I killed only 400 or so. My reinforcing army arrived just after the other army starting running, and though it's general did not die due to a seige equipment misfire, they quickly turned tail and fled with their fleeing allies. The Pontics cut that army down, and by the end of the battle, I had less than 250 troops remaining, while their massive force had lost only 600 or so.

Needless to say, when I invaded Pontus later again, I sent an army of over 20 full stacks of legionaries.

Mine was in my conquest of Sicily. I actually took my time securing my northern border before moving down to Sicily. When I did move there I found that the Greeks had completely pushed out Carthage from there (I was honestly suprised at that). But anyways I brought a full stack of Rome's finest. 2 Slingers + 2 Velites + Faction leader (with more stars then I can count from his time battling Gaul up north) and the rest were all principes. I attacked the first settlement the one in the west. While laying siege to it however I was my self attacked by Carthage!!!!

As if that wasn't bad enough, when I started the battle BOTH Greek and Carthaginian armies were on the field. I guess they must have allied at some point after Greece kicked Carthage out.

As the battle started I split my armies in two with about 2/3 of it facing the Carthaginians who had the bigger force and 1/3 against the Greeks. I left my leader with the biggest part of the army thinking that he'll be needed there more. Carthaginians engaged me first. Due to my army being split their force was bigger then mine, and they sent a few units around my right flank. They were mostly made up of poeni with some skirmishers, 1 cavalry unit and 2 sacred band. The sacred band guys were in the middle of their line and I figured my principes can hold em. So I sent my Faction Leader around to my right flank to hit the troops that were flanking me. He took care of their cavalry real quick. Then I sent him to charge from the back some poeni who were hitting my principes from the side. At about this time the Greeks finally made it to my smaller force, and I had to shift my attention to that battle for a minute. I figured my general will be fine since when I pointed at the troops he was fighting it said that defeat was certain. Well, that was a BIG mistake. While I was trying to use one of my velites to flank the Greeks my screen was shifted to a seen of my Faction Leader being speared by poeni. It looked like another unit of them surrounded my Leader. Well needless to say that after that little event my troop morale went down the drain. The first to break was the right flank of the anti-carthaginian line, followed pretty much by the rest of that force. The greek force was actually doing good, and I was able to route the Greeks, but it didn't last long after I shifted them to fight the Carthaginians.. So my entire army mass routed and they were nearly wiped out to a man.

The Carthaginian army lost somewhere around 450 men and the greeks lost about 200 don't remember the exact figures now as this was a while ago.

But I later took revenge on Carthage by shipping a full stack straight to Carthago, which was lightly defended and thanks to my spy who opened the gates. Their capital was mine without much of a fight.

One thing to say...bridge battles are evil...

The AI doesen't do so well, niether do my troops too. This one time I had a full supported legion (10 units of legionaies with a 1st cohort for historical accuracy). Along with 2 equities, generals, aux archers, and aux spearmen. I was against 3 sacred band, about 5 liby spearmen, and the rest berber javilin men and a general. I can't believe my whole force was routed... The army came at me right when my fist cohorts crossed and stopped all traffic. The 10-13 units of berbers just threw friggin jav after jav into the sides of my men stuck on the bridge, unable to move forward, or organize themselves and move backward. And then they my legionaies started to run, and in the end it was a total massacre.
