AI's Expansion
Hello,
I have one question. The conditions in the short campaign, for example, Hungary, require to destroy HRE and Poland. Does the AI use these factors in their expansion or do they play their own game, like expansion into the Greece and Russia? Is the AI programmed to exterminate those factions or does the AI randomly choose where to expand?

Re: AI's Expansion
The AI tends to attack it's natural enemies. Hungary for example will attack Byzantium and fight with Venice. Probably it will have conflicts with Poland and HRE(mostly happens in my campaigns). French will undoubtfully attack England and Moors will fight with other Iberian nations.
Also I get a feeling AI tends to attack the player's nation, whoever he plays with. When I'm playing as Spain Sicily allways attacks me. If only you have a low garrison in a settlement and enemy can get to it, it will probably attack, no matter what's your diplomatic status.

Re: AI's Expansion
"Natural enemies"? Historically or the ones that have borders with them? Is it pre-programmed that they will attack them no matter what the cost or does diplomacy have something to do with it?

Re: AI's Expansion
Natural enemies - those countries that have borders with the AI(or naval connection like Sicily-Moors). Also it's more probable to become ones enemy if you take a settlement that he aims to take or is close to them and they believe it belongs to them(if you take Durazzo with Sicily it's more than sure that Byzantium will attack you, if you take Bordeaux with Spain, French will to anything to take it from you).
