How do you remove a unit from a faction roster?
Is there any way to do a clean removal, or does it have to be replaced by something else? I'm looking to get rid of all Barbarian artillery (regardless of how it
s up the AI in siege battles) but as yet I am nubbins in the ways of the DB! Any and all help appreciated!

Fairly certain you can just delete the unit by wiping the texture, unit file, etc.

Cheers for the reply! Just found what I was looking for in the Q&A
More mind-numbingly dull threads like these to follow as I do my best to learn me some modding!

Re: How do you remove a unit from a faction roster?
I guess you just need to delete the appropriate line in the units_to_groupings_military_permissions table for custom battle and in the building_units_allowed table for campaign. Also don't forget to prevent the unit from appearing as garrison during siege/settlement battle. I guess you just need to delete the appropriate line in the armed_to_citizenry_units_to_groups_junctions table.
The unit would still be there in your files but it would not be recruitable anymore.
