    Default Turns take too long?

Hello, I installed this mod a few days ago and I have been enjoying it, this should definitely become more than just a mod!

But anyways, I have an issue with it.

Like I said in the title, turns are taking too long for me. I'm at turn 50 or so and turns take like 2-3 minutes for me. It's annoying and strange, because I didn't experience any perfomance issues during battles.

Obviously, at earlier turns it runs pretty smooth, but I can't imagine what will happen later on...

    My specs:
    Windows 7 32-Bits
    AMD Phenom II X6 1055T@2.8ghz
    Nvidia GT430
    4GB RAM

I'm running the game at minimum settings and at 1024x768, although my monitor supports up to 1366x768. Might the processor be the problem? I heard that the game only uses one core, which might be the problem as each core is just 2.8ghz. I also disabled follow AI.

Or what else could it be? By the way, I'm using the Steam version and I didn't install it in the program files folder, it's the only mod I have installed right now.

I would appreciate any measure that could help me to get the turns ending faster.

Also, what's with all these diplomats trying to contact a city but end up doing nothing? They extend the waiting time, are they just trying to bribe my city or what? I get too many of these...

It seems to just be be a problem with the total war games in general. I've heard the turns on the recent Rome II can take an eternity to process. It probably doesn't help that there's literally thousands of pages of my scripting going on during each turn as well. Needless to say it's probably not the specs of your comp, it's a combination of a poorly optimized engine and my scripting insanity.

I think that the campaign script causes most of the delay time between turns, or at least it is for my computer. I have tested it measuring time between turns with the same faction in the first 22 turns of a new campaign, one with the default campaign script and other with a script that takes out almost everything that makes the mod unique (stalfos recruit, wizrobes, ruins, mercenaries, subrosia holes, etc) but still playable. I found out that (at least in my computer) that the time between turns is three times shorter with the short and uninteresting script.

I currently don´t know any other way to make the script more optimal without taking it out many functional aspect in the game. why very simple scripts takes too long to read/execute in the game i don´t know either.

imo the best solution is to move the game out of the programs folder
i have hyrule total war in the games folder, turns are short
someone else from the mos forums (a submod for tatw) tried this and it worked

"Hmm, I moved out my MTW2 folder from Program (x86) and now turn times are suddenly 25 seconds at max. Strange but it works, I reccomend that for others playing with MOS if you experience long turn times."

Is there a particular way to do it without buggering up program pathing? What I mean is, if I just grab it and move it out of the folder to some other location, will it screw anything up, or do I have to go about it a certain way to keep the computer from getting confused as it's looking for the files while the game is running? Also, is there a preferred destination that seems to work best?

I second this, though I assume it would be even harder for me to just shove an entire program out of it's directory under steam - unless there's something I've missed.

    Arise, my army!
