    Default Parthian 'learning'

Parthian's (and maybe other eastern faction's) family members of age 16 come with ugly trait, which indicates, that they require some learning and the whole proccess should take 9 turns.

How does this learning works? Do I need a city with academy? Or maybe I need do put my younglings in capital city? I already have 24 years oldie, who still has this trait.

Well, this one is just ugly. I don't think that he can get "pretty" through learning. There are many traits that never change and often these ones are bad. I had some characters that were ugly, but they were very good administrators. It takes a good amount of time that a character gets better. And thats how it should be.

The Parthian education traits trigger by your character staying in a settlement with an academy. After the third level of the trait, he will have completed the education, which includes everything from writing, religious education, horseback riding, bow shooting etc. It is based on historical fact that the Persian nobles during the Sassanid era (and most probably also during the Parthian) sent their male children to other noblemen for their education, which would last from 9 to 15 years of age approximately.

There are also other traits (gubernatorial, military, administrative, regal) which dvk and I have added to the Parthian campaign, adding it flavor, which it had lacked previously.

On Darth Bane1's statement that the education traits are "ugly" (I know what you meant), I can only respond that they are there for a reason. And yes, a character cannot become better on a mere fact that he finishes his educational process, but these traits don't produce super-characters. After the end of the process, your character only gains 1 command, administrative and influence star. I wouldn't call that over the top.

No, I didn't meant that the traits are ugly. I meant the look of a character. Zydrius said he has many guys that are simply ugly, not good looking or handsome. The traits are all cool and nice.

It's inherited. If you want handsome ones, send the ugly ones to die in battlefield before they have child.

Well by typing 'ugly' I had in mind the learning trait, not the look of the caracters . Their faces are OK for me, even attractive . Maybe after roman campaign Parthians lack a bit of anciliaries, but not so much as Sarmatians (that's just my 1st impression, as many of Sarmatians get identical gold and silver eye's anciliaries).

I can confirm, that academy solved learning issue. Though, some characters complete their education only in their 50s .

Btw, I remember it 2.5 or 2.1a a character could be spoiled if he is brought into action (e. g. general) without completing education? Am I right or I just made up this theory? Can a spoiled family member later be turned into the right way?
