    Default CTD on Title Screen

I've tried installing three different major sub-mods (MSC, Battle of the Baltic 2.0, and Historical Region, Units, and Buildings Mod). With each of them I follow the instructions of installation (of course install to the main folder of SS 6.4 (2/3 have their own install application), after doing so neither the mods, nor the 'Vanilla' SS work, crashing at the title screen. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've uninstalled and reinstalled SS 6.4, still the same problem with any of the individual sub-mods.
Should I at the least be able to obtain the submods from MSC's data and put those into the submod folder and trust those to work properly (Son of X, Character Development, Heir Crown ect,? (please help, need my fix of new rules to play with)

run the ss_setup.exe file with the appropriate submods ticked as 'run as admin' via the right click mechanism. (the file is found in the ss6.3 folder in your mods folder of mtw2).

First off thank you. Second Windows 8 is bloody stupid. Third why does it work that way?

whoops spoke too soon. Battle of the Baltic still causing Norwegian rampage on mien stainless steel files. Oh well one out 3 didn't work. Also should I be able to just take the submod folder from Meneth and put them into stainless steel and have them work properly (installing a second folder for Stainless Steel so that I can easily switch out of OST)?

easiest way is just rename ss6.3 folder to ss6.3(main) then reinstalll ss6.3 install meneths submod, then when you whichever one you want to play make it your ss6.3 folder and name the other ss6.3 (meneth) or whatever. OST isn't tickable?

Try posting in CC's submod section, he can probably help you, if the other submods work then baltic should be able to too.

its cause of UAC and especially with windows 8, you can't manually shut it off anymore, you have to edit the registry. Basically, as protection UAC and Windows 8 moves files to a hidden location on your computer, so that if infected, such files can't work correctly without having the full files. It leaves markers behind which modern programmers have coded there programs to follow to access the full files. This works great for modern programs written for UAC and Windows 8. However, older programs like (MTW2) and programs where changes have to be made (MODS) don't play well with UAC and Windows 8 moving the files.

My recommendation for you, install mtw2 and stainless steel outside program files in like C:/games or something. Do all the installs under the admin account with the right click 'run as admin' and that should stop it from moving any files.
