Some good points Quintus, I am playing Armenia at the moment, they are kinda super soldiery, almost unbeatable in a battle especially if you have the Nakharar units mounted and foot and/or Armenian Cataphracts, A lot of fun to play though their almost like the equivalent of the golden horde, they power through anyone and anything and of course they look so damn good

We removed all camel units because there is no evidence that anyone used them for combat in our time period. They were used as pack animals, and to carry bundles of arrows for Parthian armies, but not in combat.
As for what Cataphracts used for weapons...well, a lot of research was done in this area and we thought we got it right. Regardless, the model limitations in RTW sometimes forced us to use models where you might not 'want' to use them, but had to. Many if not most models in RS2 are shared by numerous factions simply because we could get all the units we needed without doing that.
