    Default [submod] - fire at will for roman legionary units updated for 0.95

    for those that want fire at will for roman legionary units like in the original rome.

    download and extract to - C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Total War Rome II\data

    this file is in mod file type so you will to need load it above del with the unofficial mod manager tool - http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...dated-23-12-13

    legionary units with fire at will also have the throw pila ability

    reformed legionary units with fire at will also have the throw javelin ability

    these units can no longer throw their pila while on the charge

    early legionary units and auxiliaries do not have fire at will

    early legionary units use their pila like in vanilla dei

    increased the range of pila used in fire at will by 10

    increased range of all javelins by 20


    4/8 - updated for version 0.95e

    5/8 - fixed some missing stuff


    if you want to make this change yourself open up _Divide_et_Impera095.pack with the pack manager

    in the weapons_missiles_tables under db untick precursor for rome_pilum, rome_pilum_imperial and rome_pilum marian

    This is fantastic...Finally able to use them and not have to rely on the crap AI to determine weather or not to throw.

    I guess not I haven't tried it yet, but Selea said they need to sort out the campaign map. I'm not going to even bother trying to play until v 6.0 is released anyway.

    it is in movie format so no need for a mod manager.

    you might want to reduce damage/ap damage for pilum_normal, pilum_imperial, and pilum_marian in the projectiles table by 5 for each value.
    You can simply create a suffix table (as for example faw_projectiles) with just the lines for pilum in it. Only those will be replaced by the updated values in this way.

    So you can give a full sub-pack without having users to change the values manually.

    Btw only the Pilum Normal is used, the other two not but anyway it's best to also include those because in the future they can.

    dont work sorry. get conflict (3) with DEI pack 1. If i play without mod(DEI) then no effect. if i use mod the game wont load....

    I'm sure he will do a new version.

    However with the new changes in Javelins/Pila Fire-at-Will would be too powerful and even out of place.

    Now in fact Javelins/Pila thrown on a charge disrupt formations. This is plausible in a charge, less so thrown from an immobile position and, as I said, if you put it also outside of a charge it becomes God mode.

    hey i tried to do that by simply deleting everything in the projectiles table but pilum_normal, pilum_marian and pilum_imperial and renaming the table to faw_projectiles but it didnt update the values in game? is there a specific way to do it?

    Give the suffix a name alphabetically higher than the one of the table. So it is "projectiles" something like "zfaw_projectiles"; in this way it should be overwritten.
