    Default Foreign soldier recruitment?

I don't know if this has been answered already, but - will we be able to recruit non-mercenary local troops in MTW2 (as in RTR), or only our own troops, regardless of where we are on the map?

Also, if you start playing the game in the year 1080, and you conquer a town late in the game, one that has no high-tech buildings - will you only be able to recruit soldiers like the ones you were making 400 years ago in your starting location? Will you be able to construct the same kind of Swordsmen all the way through the game, or will there be something similar to Marius' reforms to avoid this kind of anachronism? Will we have the "Viking berserker vs Conquistador" retardedness of AoE or not?

It'll probably be the same way its always been Vanilla. Mercs will be regional I'm sure, but I'm assuming if, say, the French conquer Constantinople they will be able to immediately build unique french units. I could be wrong...

And I I'm pretty sure there will definitely be eras in a sense. Gunpowder, the compass, chivalry...all these things are probably events like the Marius reforms. I mean, a daring HRE player could hypothetically migrate all his spare population from surrounding city's to the capital and make Gothic knights hundreds of years too early...that is if they don't have any blocks on eras...

I hope they've changed that and made some kind of AoR. Being able to make your own faction's troops in a foreign baracks from the word go made Rome less realistic and made it easier than it should have been.

In the original MTW, they had some blocks against older units, Varangians not being available in the late era for example. However, that might have been because of the division of the game into multiple eras.

Will be cool if you can recruit 1-2 domestic unit in foreign countries like in MTW1
