    Default second rebellion non stop

just wanted to ask, is it a bug. when the second rebellion starts, i start fighting the rebels, but settlements i take rebels next turn again. couple settlements i think rebelled after 2 or 3 turns after retake. for example i defeated all rebels in sicily 3 times, took my cities, but next turn it rebels again. it becomes a pointless fight. i'm playing rs 2.6

did your dictator for life died and the heir become imperator?i had at the start of the rebellion the same problem.taken rome ,Capua, cannea 2 times, when the heir became imperator they did not rebeled anymore, also the generals in the field that lost their loyalty returned loyal to the imperator.check that out and report back.have fun

nothing changed. killed the dictator in battle, got two messages about it, heir become national ruler, but didn't get the dictator trait, i don't know if he has to get one. still loosing to rebels every single city i retake. if i keep my army in there, it stays mine, if i leave it, it's lost. so i'm only loosing my troops, while they getting more and more

taking rome back i believe sorted it out. now what i take, does not rebel anymore. but leader is just national leader now, no dictator, no ceasar traits. is it how it should be?

it didn't help. i guess i forgot to turn on the script. but found another problem. rome rebels even if leave my legion there. in one case it rebelled and pushed my legion outside, in other it rebelled together with my loyal general. so now i cant do a thing. only in sicily if i keep my legion in a city i can keep it, i leave it, it rebels. so my armies are going down and rebels increasing in size. what the hell...

well, found the solution at last. i had to kill the first legion with general witch rebelled just before the rebellion started. that was my praetorian legion that had to guard rome, looks like it didn't like the guard duty. now everything looks as it should be and a lot of work ahead, getting my empire back

it's never simple i see i would post some pictures if i would now how. never tried it, so don't know. and i think i'll start a new campaign. i played this one without garrisons and sometimes it was to easy. plus, trying to find out what was wrong with my campaign i depopulated several cities in italy, so my main cities now only have around 3-5k people and my earliest save already after those depopulation's. not very good when u need to fight hordes of rebels

If you forget to run the script in RS2, you will invariably have a lot of problems. I wish that were not so, but it's just one of the issues players need to deal with. Get into the habit of clicking on a city every single time you start or restart a campaign. You'll be prompted to start the script and have far fewer issues.
