    Default Blood effect?

    So, I know some people (including me) were sad to hear that there won't be any blood effects when they are attacking but could it be?



    This image has been hosted for a while but I haven't seen any discussion.

    I wonder what that blood puff is all about...

    Last time I heard, there was blood effects only when a soldier gets hit by an arrow.

    Perhaps blood could be a feature you can turn ON or OFF. To help improve performance on lower end rigs.

    on the left side of the pic you see an arrow coming - those blood effects on the pic are also caused from arrows. So i think Mudd is right

    Ahhh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.

    I like this new effect, it didn't seem like much was happening when you rained arrows down on your enemy in RTW.

    As for blood effects i thought there wont be any...
    Only blood we will see is blood stained armor and weapons...but no blood splashing partical effects???

    Well, the screenshot says otherwise doesen't it?

    I wonder if we will be able to mod in swords accumulating blood too, I don't see why not since they allowed it on the bodies. It will be interesting..

    Only arrows cause blood spats? That very lame. Well, its no big deal anyway but with an engine like that really BLOOD should be done right.

    Very odd if the 'blood mist' is restricted to missile/arrow hits only(it's enough to make me see red).
    Although with all my Longbowmen, there should still be plenty of 'red mist' to spred about, so nay worries!

    Doesn't look very nice when red smoke appears if someone gets hit by an arrow.
    I mean, those are just arrows. I'd like to see blood when someone is hit by a sword or an axe.
    A gore-mod would be in order. Blood splashing and heads flying in the air...Looking forward to that.

    So do I. People burning, running around, screaming... A gore mod has been requested for RTW many times, but no good one was ever made. I hope making one will be easier in MTW2. The fact that there's an animation where the one soldier runs his sword straight through the other one, and the fact that that one animation has been used in every trailer so far, and the fact there's no blood anywhere during said animation, is really annoying. This is a war game, where's the blood??

    As much as I love the TW series, I just don't see how you can do Medieval without blood.

    That would be nice if possible....

    As for the picture...what if its been manipulated in phptoshop?

    I think blood appearing on soldiers and swords gradually over time during a battle is a neat addition.

    As far as blood spurts, I hope they do not get carried away Mortal Kombat style.

    Manipulate your self if you wish .... but be sure that none of the pictures here is manipulated:

    There is another picture too but due to the database deletion I missed to put it up. I'll do that monday.

    MTW2 is an upgraded RTW so it uses the same codeing and has the same RTW potential fully enabled but it also has the same limitations (i.e only blood from arrows).

    I assume that only the german copy will not have blood due to the coutry's silly laws (any blood in games should be removed or colored in green). Maybe they get lucky if the arrow splashes will not be considered as blood.

    I'm not asking for spine rip-out or anything, VaeVictis. But when a guy whacks another with a big mf axe, I want to see some graphic kind of result from it.

    I don't see what's the deal with the blood, why so many people want to see blood.I don't think it brings much to the game.
