ooc : Mind subtracting 3,825 levies as I never ordered Duskendale's levies to join up with the Royal Host?

Edit- Unless they were never part of this in which case, mods, delete this post please.

Your army isn't as big as you think Oznerol. On top of what Xion has stated about the Duskendale forces, any men that you sent to arrest the Crakclaws (From the RP that I have read, that means the troops from the High Lordship of Rosby) would not be able to join you. Also, since you are declaring them to be committing treason against you, it doesn't make sense for you to have control of any men from the High Lordship of Crackclaw. In addition, when you asked for a levy roll, the men from the High Lordship of Massey's Hook and your minor Lord of Edgerton under King's Landing refused to raise their banners, so their troops must be removed from the count as well.

So basically, you should remove troops the High Lordships and their vassal lords that are listed below.

    Massey's Hook (Stonedance): 2,500
    - Wendwater: 250
    - Sharp Point: 250

    Rosby: 2,500
    - Hayford: 750
    - Stokeworth: 750
    - Sow's Horn: 750

    Duskendale: 2,500
    - Hollard Hall: 750
    - Brindlewood: 750
    - Antlers: 750
    - Birch Hall: 750

    Cracklaw: 1,500
    - Rook's Rest: 1,500
    - Dyre Den: 750
    - Whispers: 750
    - North Cracklaw: 750

    Edgerton: 750

If my calculations, are correct, that reduces your army by 19,250 men. Also, if you posted any of your army movements before your professional soldiers that you are recruiting are finished training, they will not be with your main army and will appear at King's Landing. If you want them to join you then you have to wait until there recruitment is done before they can be included in your army.

    -3,000 heavy infantry
    -2,000 polearms
    -1,500 light cavalry
    -1,000 heavy cavalry
    ----------------------------
    TOTAL=19,500

    LEFT AT THE CAPITAL=
    1,800 light infantry
    400 heavy infantry
    300 polearms
    50 archers
    220 light infantry

A letter arrives for the King:

    To King Baelor,

Treachery in the north! We are betrayed! The Host under command of Harmund Lefford was ambushed by Ser Gyels Tully's treacherous armies - we fear that his good nature was a ruse this entire time to hatch a plot to take us unawares. We are now attempting to recover by an orderly retreat to the Westerlands. We now face an invasion from the North and from the Riverlands. We beseech you to send us aid in some form so that we can continue the fight. My army is now trapped in the Vale between the rest of the Vale and the armies of the North to our west.

Another letter arrives, bearing the seal of House Manderly

    Your Grace,

You will be happy to know that I have sent my brother Ser Robar and 8,400 of my men to relieve the siege of the Dreadfort, or Nodreki Castle, the seat of your brother the Prince Aerys. However, between the peasant uprising and Lord Dustin's intrigues, I cannot help but remain stranded at Moat Cailin, unable to help in the war effort. I hope defending your brother's seat will prove my loyalty to the Iron Throne and my duties as Warden of the North.

    Signed,

Lord Helman Manderly, Lord of White Harbour and Warden of the North

A raven arrives, carrying a letter which was seemingly written in haste.

    Your Grace,

I write this letter to you with heavy hand, as I prepare myself to march not south, but north. Dark wings, dark words indeed. The Ironborn have forsaken their oath to the Iron Throne. They have risen up in rebellion and arbitrarily broke the King's peace. Baelor, the Greyjoys are besieging Winterfell and another rebel army has landed in Flint's Finger, its destination yet unknown to me. I would not be surprised if ravens are leaving Pyke in this exact moment proclaiming Euron Greyjoy as King of Salt and Rock. The treacherous Greyjoys have taken advantage of Lord Arryn's rebellion and proclaimed independence themselves. They have invaded the North, killed and raped my people and the same fate will disgrace Winterfell. I had to recall Ser Robar and send him off to lift the siege instead; I just hope it is not too late, for I shudder at the thought of what the Ironborn scum would do to the little Lord Edwyle and... to my children and wife.

They have broken the King's peace and invaded my lands, I ask you to denounce them as traitors to the realm and attaint their houses and names, before it is too late. As your vassal, I request your protection; please send the Royal Fleet to the Sunset Sea. White Harbour is strong and enjoys a powerful navy, but not nearly enough to match the strength of the Ironborn at sea, and we are in the wrong side of Westeros. Your Grace, we need to act before this rebellion gets out of control and spread to other kingdoms.

Lord Helman Manderly, Lord of White Harbour and Warden of the North

A raven arrives from King's Landing.

    Your Grace,

We have detained Aerys Targaryen. Though the Queen was ready to execute Aerys on the spot, I intervened and reminded her that it was I who would be in charge whilst you were away. Aerys was transferred to the dungeons as per your orders, Your Grace. Thankfully, Lord Commander Raymar listened to my orders and had Aerys removed to the Dungeons. We have yet to arrest Matarys. The Queen has taken the liberty of taking jobs that were entrusted by you to me. She says that she is the crown thus she has the right. It has been hard to do work when all of it is being taken away. I feel tension already brewing since she refuses to even cooperate with me, the Lord Hand.

As for the troops you requested, the Queen demanded that a host of the Stormlands reinforce her troops instead. My host of close to 10,000 troops will remain at Bronzegate in order to respond to King's Landing if reinforcements are needed. With 10,000 at Bronzegate, that only leaves me with around 20,000 troops to call forth and dispense. Do you wish to counter her orders and send all my available troops to you or have them be divided and be sent to both hosts, Your Grace?

    Sincerely,
Meldred Baratheon, Hand of the King

    Your Grace,

I hope your order will ensure that the Queen and I will collaborate on a better level. I will begin the reformations to the Small Council shortly, that reforms we spoke of earlier. I only ask that you send an official document, giving me the authority and permission to carry out the plans of reform for the Council. As for the North, I have begun work. Goldcloaks have been sent to put Master of Ships, Euron Greyjoy, under house arrest with the Ironborn at war with the North. If possible, once you have taken Massey's Hook, I could leave half my of the Stormlander troops with you and send a detachment northward to aid the Starks and the Northern lords. Would that suit you well, Your Grace?

I have begun preparations for reinforcements. Troops have been called for and are mustering at Storm's End as we speak.

    To my Lord Hand:

I send with this a Royal Writ authorising you to carry out the reforms, and re-asserting your authority to rule in my absence, however, remember these, colaborate with the Queen, I don't want rifts between both. Good, he shall be well watched, send ravens to Greyjoy and his major vassals. When I take Harrenhall (ooc: I'm at Harrenhall, trying to seize it), your son may join me. And indeed, a detachment, shall travel Northwards, send my Kingsguard Rosby (NPC, but you may rp him if you wish) as a Royal Representative and to assert the Crown's authority there.

Do whatever is fitting with the Northern Lords, comunications in the field will be difficult, your ravens may not reach my host when on move. I will send ravens reporting where I've erected a camp, so you shall send me your own reports, about the Realm's affairs.

Rule well in my absence, for the Realm's sake.

A curt message is sent to the King from Aurelia

    "Baelor,

I have recently been told of your decision to abandon my cousin in the Vale to almost certain death in favor of helping the Stark whelp maintain his seat. Due to your obvious lack of concern for members of my household or allied armies, I am withdrawing my main host from its victory over Riverrun to a defensive position in the Westerlands. I now ravage the Riverlands only in order to exact revenge for treachery. You have been false with me, both in assurances of wielding any power in the capitol or equal part in governance or wars. Instead you rely on one incompetent hand after the next despite the fact that I have always been your strongest asset and ally. Note how Baratheon can hardly muster support form his own vassals for the war while I have fielded almost 100,000 soldiers. I am done. Once Guy is able to escape the Vale he will also be ordered to march back home. I hope you are satisfied in your decision.

    Signed,
    Aurelia Lannister"

    Your Grace,

I am pleased to inform you that the siege of Nodreki Castle has been lifted by my brother, Ser Dorren, without shedding a single drop of blood. Indeed, the rebels took up arms for the rightful armies of the Iron Throne and we have added them to our ranks. He now marches to Winterfell with Ser Robar in order to crush the Ironborn scum and salvage Winterfell.

However, I do confess I am baffled. At this point, I would have thought an offical royal decree would have been released, denouncing the Greyjoys as traitors. Their cause is obviously false, yet no ravens have reached White Harbour.

A raven arrives with the seal of the Lord Hand.

    Your Grace,

The Queen and her men have departed the Capital. A sign nonetheless that she may have lost faith in the realm. I cannot say what this will do to the war at hand, but we may be able to end it someway with a status quo. A peace that will reinstate the trust of the Riverlands and the Vale. I ask that you end the hostilities towards the Vale and Riverlands while I begin to conduct negotiations. Without the Westerlands, if they decide to withdraw, we will lose great and necessary support.

    Sincerely,
Meldred Baratheon, Hand of the King

An additional raven flies in from the capital.

    Your Grace,

Lord Arryn still offers the same terms as before; the exile of the Queen and the Prince, Aegon. How should I reply to Lord Arryn?
