Resets to last manual save when Laptop is unplugged
Alright, a few days ago I decided to re-install Medieval 2 after a long, long period of not playing. I finished installing it booted it up and started a campaign as the good, ol' English. Prior to this installation I'd always played on my desktop back home. I noticed that, first of all, when I pressed some of the f1-f12 buttons my map would do strange things. No big deal though, I can fix all of those, it seemed as if some of the commands were bound to more than their original keys. The main problem is the fact that if my laptop gets unplugged, it resets to the last save, I've spent some time searching, but it has come to nothing. It's not game breaking, but its certainly irritating.
I'm running Windows 7 just so you know.

You pull the plug or the dog does for you, it will do this at best or be reinstalling at worst. The game is too old to teach it differently.

Sorry, I don't understand what you're saying.

The only way to fix it is either play on your desktop or figure how to hardwire the power convertor for your laptop or put up with the occasional unplug event. The game is too old for modern software technology to sense a shutdown and save on the way out with enough power in reserve to do it. This game was written for desktops in mind and any fancy power saving options were not and never will be part of the game. 2005 is a long time ago in computer terms.
Short song and dance, yes, no way around it.
