Wolfman and I recently discovered a new unit mod for Rome II, which brings dozens of great looking, custom made medieval units to the game. Medieval? In Rome II? Yes, that´s right! 100% medieval.

Check it out! It´s fabulous! You can´t download it at Steam though (because of the file upload limitations, the mod has 1GB) but there are links to follow. Pretty easy to install. Note: it´s NOT a campaign mod (yet). You can use this units only in custom battles.


Because we both are big medieval fans, we decided to interrupt our "Alexander of Macedon"- project for some days, to make a machinima with these medieval units right now. Here´s a quick made teaser preview, so you get an idea, what this wonderful mod has to offer! Within the next days, we will release an epic full scale battle machinima. So keep your eyes open And enjoy this little preview.

This mod adds hundreds of individually created units, focussing on immersion and balanced gameplay. It combines all my previously released unit mods and adds even more. The unit count is increasing steadily, a counter can be found below. This mod's units fill gaps where vanilla game lacks units, without flooding the rosters unnecessarily, creating a very balanced gameplay for each major and minor faction, but keeping factions' strengths while expanding strategical options to enhance players' games.
