Disabling Siege Deployables
I was trying to turn off the siege deployables (ladders, ram, etc) just to test things out but for the life of me can't get it to work.
I created a vanilla custom battle where I am the defender in a siege and AI is attacker. I load the battle and the AI has a tower and ram. I exit to Windows.
In db.battlefield_siege_vehicles_tables.battlefield_siege_vehicles I set recruitment cap to 0 for everything (towers, rams, galleryies, etc).
In db.battlefield_siege_vehicles_custom_battles_tables.battlefield_siege_vehicles_custom_battles I set cap=0 and probability=0 for all rows.
I fired up RomeII , the same custom battle, and the AI has its deployables again. I exit to Windows.
To make sure my changes are at least being applied I made a further change and significantly lowered the hitpoints and incendiary damage for all the siege deployables. When I restarted the custom battle (again the AI had the tower and ram) I set them on fire almost instantly.
So I am pretty sure my changes are making it into the game. However I can't get rid of the deployables.
Am I missing something or did CA hard code this into the AI?
Thanks!

Re: Disabling Siege Deployables
You could just go into the deployables tab on the pre-battle screen (ingame) and set them all to zero.
In all likelyhood, you're just playing with the wrong number.

Re: Disabling Siege Deployables
My mod is disabling all of the deployables on the battle setup screen. But the AI still ends up with them in battle. Does anyone know what controls this?

Re: Disabling Siege Deployables
there is a file battle siege vehicle or something where you can replace the ladder to refer to a gallery because the ai doesn't use those.
