A Question of Expansion
Greetings and Salutations
I currently have just the original RTW game (wirt Total Realism 6.0 installed as well). If I purchase the BI and Alexander expansion packs, can anyone tell me if the AI is improved and will all MODS benefit from this (or which ones will/wont)
Can anyone describe/give example of how the new AI is different?
Many Thanks

Re: A Question of Expansion
I don't think the AI is really improved. Although the new factions in expansions behave differently than you're used to in Rome. I mean, the campaigns are different and AI has propably learned a few new tricks, but the overall intelligence is still kind of low (judging by the BI)
Don't know much about mods, but i remember XGM can make use of BI expansion somehow. (Units swimming and such, but I don't think there's an AI improvement)

The AI in Alexander has improved very much, on the battle map that is. But I wouldn't recomend getting it. It's not really funny.

Re: A Question of Expansion
And installing the expansions will mess up your mod, as RTR 6 is for 1.2, Bi automatically patches RTw to 1.3, and Alex requires 1.5.
