Greatest Tv Intros of all Time

Hi all

Thought i would ask the question, what in you opinion was or is the greatest tv show introduction of all time?

My personal favourite is the introduction to Original 1970s Battlestar Galactica. This is for many reasons.
1. This is the greatest Sci-Fi show ever created (meaning the original and the new series, Season 3 kicks off October 6th if i'm not mistaken.)
2. The music for the intro is amazing, it has such a grand feel to it. I get the shivers every time I listen to it. The musical work is brilliant and you just known this show is going to be great.
3. Everything about that show is revolutionary at its time, nothing have every been done to the same scale before.

Airwolf and Knightrider come in 2nd and 3rd. Such brilliant cheesy openings, especially Knight Rider

How could you forget the A-Team??? I'd definitly agree with you about the original Battlestar Galactica though.
Also, Star Trek: The next generation had quite a cool intro.

(One last thing... you signature pic should read "English born and bred" not "bread" )

Thunderbirds was pretty awesome back in't day. Even though I watched it waaaaay after the original airing year. And Its been a long time since I saw it

Actually, if we are going to include cartoon shows, then the first season of Transformers had a pretty cool intro. the second season wasnt bad, but it was justly a slighty updated rehash of the original theme.

although not an "intro" in the conventional sense with a montage etc. it has to be admitted

I think one of the greatest TV Intros has to be Starsky and Hutch. A Good TV Intro with one of the best TV Theme Tunes. I can't believe nobody has said Starsky and Hutch already
