Armour db interpretation questions
1. What does the "unknown" column in unit_shield_types determine?
2. What does the "bonus_vs_missiles" binary toggle in unit_armour_types?
3. What does the "weak_v_missiles" binary toggle in unit_armour_types?
4. Double-checking that armour total itself is a partially-directionally-sensitive evenly-weighted flat-reduction-dice-roll against incoming non-ap weapon damage. I have heard this but don't have the knowhow to verify it personally.
Thank you!

Re: Armour db interpretation questions
Unknown column in shield table determines the block chance shield have against ranged projectiles
Bonus vs missiles means that such armor gets some missile damage reduction when hit by ranged weapon. (no idea what bonus, or if it is even used in the game)
Weak vs missiles is opposite of the previous one.

Re: Armour db interpretation questions
Armour not provided by the shield is independent of attack direction. Anything provided by the shield is only applied from the front and left (armour, defence, block). And yes, it is a dice roll against non-ap damage.

Re: Armour db interpretation questions
Cool, so a value of 20 in the "unknown" column means what block chance? (presuming block means the projectile does zero total damage)
Thanks for the replies. If anyone knows more about the weak/bonus vs missiles toggles, I'm all ears (eyes?).

Re: Armour db interpretation questions
20 means 20% or, 1 in 5 missiles have no effect.
I don't think anyone has bothered with the weak/strong part, because its easy enough to get the same effect balancing defence and armour, and we know what those actually do.
