you really should try to keep modded games into a separate pc. especially with steam bypassing the do not update feature.

I have a question to you guys: Don´t you hate that auto updates? It´s one of the reasons I play without Steam. If I want something changed on my system I do that myself.
This is a honest question, no mocking. I´m really curious if you simply accept it or maybe even like it.
I mean look at the post above: On a different PC? Yeah, sure. I´ll buy another one just because Steam bypasses my rights as a customer... Sonst geht´s aber noch, ja?

You can't play without Steam and any other ways are not aloowed here at TWC. You can however play with Steam offline indifinetely if you don't want to update.

KR153: Yes, I hate it. Not having control over it, even when I tell STEAM not to update. Some great campaigns got lost because the mods didn´t work anymore, and the updates were not save-game save.

Sharpe: I was not into computer stuff much, but my love for Rome1 taught me basics of modding (just .txt files, very basic) and how to install mods and how to update. You would have learnt it quickly.

Ive got mods but it says the base game is updating, not the mods.

Yes, it IS the Bactria DLC. In my lang file appeared a new line of text:
"start_pos_factions_long_description_2120135175" "Baktria to brama handlowa między wschodem a zachodem,[...]
Which means something like "Bactria is a trade gate between the west and the east,[...]

They will probably unlock it on friday.

It might be files preparing for the DLC next week. Or there's going to be a patch tomorrow, officially, and this is just some of the files being released early.
