I use FRAPS personally, but I'm pretty sure the F12 function will still take screen shots through steam even if you're using GEM. If not Print Screen button can work, as Go0lden_Archer mentioned, though I don't know if it saves them automatically as I've never used it.

The steam overlay is removed when using GEM, atleast for me.

I'm in turn 89 now just waiting for some building to finish so i can make new units. and then a long walk to conquer new lands..

Now in turn 100+ Its good to have friends only its more of a race to get some new land.
I declared war on 2 old alliance factions and all the others just follow'd me to fight them. So there country's are now divided between "friends".

I believe it has more to do with starting relations they have, generally speaking Egypt for instance with almost always goto war with the Seleucids, leaving them open to war with a bunch of nations, and since Egypt starts off with pretty crappy relations with Nasamones as well, they eventually declare war and take egypt out before they can do anything about it. So basically they are setup to fail.

218 B.C. H/H. Took about 10 years just to take Antioch because they had stationed about 7 armies in and around it. Every ally is a client state except for Boii and Iceni

I play as Suebi, had a hard time at the beginning at hard campaign mode. However, after conquering two towns, things goes really fast.

You can see that my Suebi isn't complete, the town I needed was too far away and Nervi was luring and big! I had to secure that first. I fought two front, one in the south of Europe to prevent Lugii to become too powerful and I had to steal the towns from him, so that only I can go south, and the other front was against Nervi. Nervi got killed in maybe 10 turns, then Averni followed. I kept good relations with Nameres, because they fight the Brits, so I got time to secure France first. Pictones will soon die, and I try to ally with Massilla, so that they can fight spain region, and during that time I will secure Brittain and have Pictones as ally. Meanwhile, Lugii got owned by Raka, so I had to send one stack to confront them. Now they thinned out, and I hope Luggi will join my conferderation.

Charthage got almost killed by Syracus, but I traded with them and Africa so that they can fight back Rome. Moreover, Liguria is busy with Rome, so I got time to focus on France and UK. The problem might be the eastern front, athen allied with Egypt and almost entire Arab-nation. So when I attack one, the entire east front will be at me. I try to secure West Europe first, having a good base.

At the moment I got 3 full stack, 10k, and all buildings upgraded. I notice Germans don't have good culture spreading buildings, the minus 4 happiness of buildings are killing me. Magna Germania is my military HQ, I got all boosters there with all rosters. The rest is purely economic and food. I got small bases of recruitment else. See spoiler

After securing France and UK, what do you guys recommend? I think of getting spain and Rome, I use rome and spain to get friendly with Africa (they are at war with each other). In the end, it will be a battle of my ally Africa against eastern empire (+ greeks) while I steamroll the greeks through invasion in east Europe.

I'm waiting for my reform. German second unit from the blacksmith is strong, the rest is all lacking except the archers. See the spoiler. My general got traits and gimmicks so that the enemy get minus 20% morale. I use spy to convert 2 shieldmaids of Nervi to my side, now I use them to kill generals and army sub-something I think of getting another trait in weakening the enemy's moral (-15% of dread commander). Combined with hard hitting units on flanks, archers, scary spearmen (black ones) and mius 35% the enemy rout really quick (esp babarians).. My unit's attack is maxed out, eventhough there is only 2 chevrons lol... Too bad about defence though..

I use high replenishment rates to secure my blitzkierrgg Hard-hitting targeted at routing.

My general got charge of 50, that's twice a german horse lol. Btw german units are only good at level 2, the level 3 units are crap. Especially the spearline, except the highmoraled black painted germans (102!!).

Here's mine! I'm Sparta, just finished my playthrough. The reason I have Britannia is because I made some unique victory conditions to make my campaign interesting and different from all the rest.
