Looking for some Brainstorming on stuff I've been doing recently

Basically, I've been trying to revamp characters to make them more believable, but the big problem I ran into was the inability to edit the UI, the solution I have found, is to export data from my lua scripts in xml files which are then loaded into a jquery website stored on the client's hard-drive. This jquery website then forms a second UI that works kinda like battlelog from Battlefield, where the player gets information from a website outside of the game.

I'm just wondering if this would be a workable solution for people, requiring them to run the game in borderless windowed mode and alt-tabbing in and out of the main game to see the information exported by the mods, or if anyone can think of a better way to work this workaround
