Default How to change color of all units including officers.

When editing unit colours, i can only get the soldiers to change to colours i set. The officer seems to keep the default colours of the faction.

I really want to change the shield colour of the officer to match the shield colour of the other units in the cohort.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks for the reply Demokritos

I tried that but it still isn't working.

The only thing i can get to work is to change the entire rome faction_uniform table and that seems to make the officer change colour.

    Any other ideas?

I've done a whole mod with officers and standard bearers differing from the rest of the unit by following the advice I gave.

You must be doing something wrong on your end.

    Check this pic...

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
That unit (Eagle Cohort) has no colour exactly in common with the factional theme I have for the Romans. I got the soldiers to look different from the factional theme by creating a new entry in the uniform_variants_colours table and then I made the officer depart from the soldiers by having a separate entry for him in that table and writing "officer" in the soldier_type column for that entry instead of "soldier". To get the officer to use the same colours as the soldiers, just copy the colour values from the soldiers entry to the officer entry.

If you're unsure what I mean, download my mod, open it with PFM and study the content in the tables to see how I did it.

Thanks for going way out of your way to take screens & everything.

    i realised my mistake.

I had changed to officer, but under unit_variant i had the unitxx_officer instead of unitxx_infantry (which is the default unit name for the unit in main_units_tables).

Once again, thank you so much, this has been bothering me for ages.
