My grandfather was a hero, modest, quiet and wounded twice, in hand to hand combat at Casino Italy.
The ancillary you are looking for, pictures grain and has no title. It gives +2 food and a 20% bonus in acriculture.

@Black9 "They're the best slingers in the game for a reason. Working as intended".
What slingers throwing javelin? Eh.... so you have the sling animation then a javelin suddenly appears? am not sure why the ... you would use slingers as peltasts? why not just use .... well peltast? or some equivalent? it just looks silly that you have blokes with slings firing, as i said javelins...

I have two reports in which i dont know if it has already been reported.
- Some certain capes for the hellenic generals on the campaign seem to lie above eachother which makes it look like they have a 2 colored cape (eg red and black mixed for macedon).
- slave armies in the hellenic provinces almost always look like a roman general.
Since turn 120 been having trouble with freeze, truimp screen got me the first time, but finally got my it. Since then about every 2ed turn it freezes again at comment screens. So far I go back and save and try again. Been getting by so far, up to 130 turns now. (Is this the game or Mod I wonder?) Playing Rome battle max out, and Hard campaign. By the way Great Mod.
And yet another crash in my Suebi campaign, end of turn 407, right when it should switch to turn 408 game crashes. I suspect it has something to do with CW. It happend few times during last 15 turns (From 393 till 407 that is), but I've used save/load to delay it, as I'm at the end of the campaign, need only 5 settlements for victory... Now guess I'll have to revert back to 389, before my conquest of Illiria and Pannonia, dang it =/
BTW, here's savegame, maybe some1 will figure out what the heck is wrong. I'm using DeI, with Harder Economy, Historically plausible development, Unlimited Edicts, Preliminary Naval Battle.
Came across an almost gamebreaking bug a few times, when attacking an enemy walled town/city. When you use ladders to get your men up onto the walls and attempt to kill the enemy missile troops off, the enemy missile troops will kill your men off at a rate that is just short of being equivalent to having elephants charging into the rear of a mass of units. I've just decided to raise this issue after losing a unit of Keltikoi Epilektoi Machairaphoroi (Carthaginian equivalent of Barbarian Noble Swordsmen) to a single unit of Heilotes Sphendonetai (Helot Slingers).
Praying this is actually a bug and not working as intended, because it's more than a little bit ridiculous currently. Makes scaling the walls of any town an almost unviable tactic, as taking out the gate and charging through the burning oil actually yields less casualties...
Also, I posted on the steam workshop topic for DEI a little bit back a wide variety of bugs being encountered when being attacked at Ariminum by large fleets, not sure if these were acknowledged or would be better being mentioned here.
Don't know if it's a bug with the mod or the base game but I have found that I cannot fill all of the building slots in Cisalpina province for medhlan and patavium. The screenshot should highlight what I mean. In Medhlan I can only build 5 out of 6 construction sites and in patavium I can only build 3 out of 4 site. There is no province growth either. I have the same problem with cosentia. Has anybody else had a similar problem? I am using 0.6j and 8.1 beta
@waldopbarnstormer, that's been how it is since vanilla - some provinces never reach a full building roster if you will
So are your saying it is intentional by CA or a bug they just haven't fixed?
if it is intentional then that is &%^(
One of the things I liked about previous TW games was the sand box format that meant you could turn any region in to a major hub and expand it how you liked. Rome 2 has taken a lot of that away with its silly province system
As far as I know, it's intentional - you can tell which areas can expand to what size by each area having a greyed out white box, which can be clicked when the province reaches the level of growth required. Any provinces which don't have that have reached their 'maximum potential'. I figure if it was a bug, CA would have put a fix in for it by now after 8 patches
Hey!
I have installed your mod, but when i start the prologue and i have to end my turn, the game doesn't work and it stops!
Do you know this bug? How can i resolve?
Thanks and great job, guys!
Try the main campaign, this mod is not compatible with prologue.
Any official (or unofficial) progress on the recurrent AI-turn crashes? I've stopped with DEI until they are resolved.
