I'm currently working on new loading screens for SSHIP mod. The idea is to get a kind of drawing on parchement. Below the current result. That's still a WIP and may change. Comments are welcome

Looks good exept the text overlayed is mirrored (but maybe it's intended).
Also the 2nd screen really looks like my city (medieval version), is it the case ?

Those are awesome images for loading screens Lifth! All I can say is that I'd love to see them incorporated into SSHIP, and as soon as possible!

Regarding the different versions, I personally prefer the top ones without color. To me, those ones appear more natural and present more immersion, whereas the colored ones put me in mind of a sort of cartoony game. Obviously, it'd be worth hearing more opinions on the matter, but I'd say to opt for the parchment and pencil versions, and leave color out. (I could also imagine having this as an option for players to choose themselves, and including both colored and uncolored versions in the game files, so that players could delete the ones they do not like. I mean, I assume you're starting with uncolored versions and then adding color, so it's not any more work to have both version available.)

I noticed that as well, but I liked it. It makes me think of da Vinci's sketches, as he usually used a reddish pencil (as you've done Lifth), and he famously wrote all of his things in mirrored script. I'd keep it that way!

    Thanks Guys

The coloured version is just one layer added for each screen. So, absolutly not a problem to remove it
The text is actualy based on Da Vinci drawings. Each text is one layer. So it can also be easily moved or changed

I knew it! I have a really cool book of naturalists' drawings throughout the ages, and the first chapter was on da Vinci's drawings, so I've become a bit more familiar with his own insane version of writing. It's beautiful and elegant, but also cryptic as well, which makes for awesome ambience in these images!

Yep Actually, I'd like to be able to transform the pics I have like his sketches or like the one done by Michelangelo. Their style would fit very well for SSHIP even if made a bit later

Edit: I might have found the right tuto to achieve such result. If I manage to do it, then I'll need to create a script to speed up the process. I have about 90 pics as raw materials (but not sure all of them will fit for such proccess - we'll see)

I like the second one better.

Also, on second look at the final White Walker images I believe you need to invert vertically the lighting and shadows areas of the eye balls.
Just observe this effect in real life, in the first person you encounter: the lower half of the iris is always brighter than the upper half.

I think I still like the very first version most. It has a crispness and authenticity to its look that I find lacking in all the other versions. I think for me, the main thing is that I like when it looks like a drawn image, rather than a pic that's been modified. Just my two cents though.

Honestly, considering the reflects and shadows on the white walker face, I'm not convinced that reversing these in the eyes would be better
And yes, I know, I still have to post more about that job

Splash screen looks great, but I would add more blood on 'BLOOD' personally. But it's just me
