Default Hypothesizing on the MTW 2 Expansion

Given the history of CA releasing expansions, what do you think the expansion for MTW 2 will be? I know it sounds early to be even thinking about it, but is it going to be the predictable "________ Invasion"? Are they going to go with Barbarian Invasion 2? Who knows?

It would be Viking Invasion 2, we'd have to wait until Rome Total War 2 to get Barbarian Invasion 2.

I think it would be cool to go back and focus on when the Aztec Empire was growing, the map could be the Americas and you could have all sorts of different Native American factions. I dunno, just a thought.

I just hope they don't make it too gunpowder oriented but I don't think they will. Maybe just another Viking Invasion.. who knows.

A Native American based expansion would be a nice change of pace, IMO.

I don't know alot about the armies back then but I'm sure there was some differentiation.

I never thought gunpowder could be portrayed well with the TW engine, but Napoleon Total War proved me wrong on this. I think a TW game in an era with gunpowder units, such as anywhere between the 16th and 18th centuries would be interesting. But once rank and file combat breaks down and war becomes more squad based, the TW engine is no longer effective.

Hmm...the focus seems to be on that already. I'd imagine we'll get more American factions, and perhaps a shift into the Tudor/ Elizebethan eras.

Let's not forget the following feature from CA officials at one of the game shows: that the expansion will be a multiplayer campaign.

"If ye love wealth greater than liberty,
the tranquility of servitude greater than
the animating contest for freedom, go
home from us in peace. We seek not
your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch
down and lick the hand that feeds you,
and may posterity forget that ye were
    our countrymen."

I was dreaming about this since shogun but if so I'm little afraid because it would be definietly my end to the society
